VMA rehearsals: Nicki Minaj, B.o.B, Bruno Mars, Justin Bieber, Jason Derulo and Travie McCoy
Sep 12th
The pink stage is set for Nicki Minaj’s VMA debut. The hip-hop hottie, wearing skintight pants and a cowboy hat, rehearsed in downtown Los Angeles for her first-ever televised solo performance at tonight’s pre-show. In addition to delivering a remix of her No. 1 rap song “Your Love,” she will be joined by will.i.am for their single “Check It Out.”
“She’s dope, she’s really nice,” the Black Eyed Peas leader told TheMoMoShow.com of his collaborator. “She loves music, she loves to express herself, and she’s a sick-ass lyricist.”
Even after topping the charts, B.o.B and Paramore’s Hayley Williams had never met—that is until now. The duo will finally perform their collaboration “Airplanes” for the very first time together at tonight’s festivities - because everyone knows that song is just going to be OVER played even more so!
B.o.B will accompany Bruno Mars and Hayley Williams for a three-song medley that includes “Nothin’ on You,” “Airplanes,” and Paramore’s “The Only Exception.” – Now that what I would call a VMA performance, that’s if this thing all goes right for them, well all know that Bruno Mars isn’t the greatest of all live performers!
Expect Justin Bieber to roll up in a red 1957 Chevy Bel Air when the teen phenom performs “Baby” for his fans outside at the Nokia Plaza at L.A. Live. – Oh God! – You know this is why at times I do not go all out for the VMAs because, every single track or record played has been played for a year already! Get A grip peoples!
Jason Derulo told TheMoMoShow.com to expect a darker version of “Ridin’ Solo” from him and house artist “deadmau5″ – right, because we all love a bit of change, to be fair the only person I’m really interested in is Kanye West too see what this guy does…again!
Travie McCoy will flip his hit “Billionaire” for the VMAs. “Me and deadmau5 got together, went in on ‘Billionaire,’” the Gym Class Heroes frontman told us. “He definitely took it, and it just turned into these crazy noises I never heard before.”. So make sure you keep it locked on our twitter Twitter.com/MoMo for full live updates during tonight’s show!

Kanye West finally suits up!
Sep 9th
Kanye West jogs in Lanvin and strolls in suede loafers without socks. A purplexed Kanye was snapped for the second time this week in New York City with an unidentified lady friend music exec Tracey Waples wearing a charcoal grey suit and black tie. Just last week, he was seen enjoying the company of supermodel Selita Ebanks at the U.S. Open.
Kayne West took to his Twitter account Saturday morning (September 4) to readdress the 2009 Video Music Awards, when he fatefully interrupted Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech.
“I’m sorry, Taylor,” he wrote. “We’re both artists, and the media and managers are trying to get between us. She deserves the apology more than anyone. Thank you [Twitter co-founders] Biz Stone and Evan Williams for creating a platform where we can communicate directly.” – Well i’m glad they’ve put this in the past, but the very fact that Kanye did so only just helped madame country songstress from Kansas to shift her album to sell three times platinum!
Only God knows what is going to happen next, I truly have nothing more to say! All eyes are on ‘Ye as he gears up for this Sunday’s VMAs. What will he perform and will he reunite with Taylor Swift onstage? The suspense is killing me! Read the rest of this entry »
Kanye West invited back to the VMAs
Aug 13th
“Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time…of all time!” - Despite his headline-grabbing appearance at last year’s show, MTV has invited Kanye West back to perform at this year’s Video Music Awards.
All eyes will be on Mr. West when he takes the stage at the 27th annual show – just make sure you brace yourselves – it may be Justin Bieber this time round.
Kanye had everyone talking after he interrupted Taylor Swift during her acceptance speech at last year’s event. He was reportedly asked by MTV to leave the show following the spectacle. But the hoopla is bound to attract viewers who will be tuning in to see whether Kanye has any more surprises up his sleeve.
The VMA gig is only one of many things Kanye has planned for this year. “More music … I’m bout to drop a bunch of shit this year.. surprise performances.. guest verses… living in the studio,” tweeted the rapper, whose fifth album is set for a November release.
Maybe we should give Kanye West the benefit of the doubt – after all he did announced he was a changed man? – right? But if you’re asking me MTV is so just doing this so they boost up the views, and a VMA will never be a VMA without Kanye West!
Never the less, there might even be a fixed “interruption” (watch out Justin Bieber!) The 2010 MTV Video Music Awards will air live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on Sunday, September 12, at 9 p.m. (US. Time) Read the rest of this entry »
