Chris Brown and Usher cancel joint tour

Chris Brown and Usher fans were in glee earlier this week when Bryan-Michael Cox announced that the duo were going on tour. However, even after Brown proposed to the idea on his Twitter, the plans for the show have been officially scrapped. There is no official word from either artist’s camp as to why the venture was canceled. Brown has since removed any messages referring to the tour from his Twitter page.
But according to Usher’s camp, this is all just talk – for now, at least. “There are no plans at this time for Usher and Chris Brown to tour together,” reps for the 31-year-old singer said. Brown’s reps said ditto with the statement: “There is no confirmed Chris Brown and Usher tour at this time.”
Perhaps they’re just waiting to see how badly fans want it. Brown tweeted Wednesday, “Would you pay to see an Usher and Chris Brown concert/tour,” followed by, “RT #CBUSHERTOUR if u want it to happen.” Lo and behold, at the time of this posting, #cbushertour was a trending topic.
And now this is now why I’m sticking to my new quote of the year…”I’ll believe it when I see it”, although a Chris Brown and Usher tour would of been a done deal for world wide success it seems to me that those on Usher’s side are getting a bit too greedy! I guess we’ll just be stuck with Rihanna and her squealing as the only alternative unless we go to Trey Songz’s sex show, ‘Passion, Pain, & Pleasure’. At least we still have Lady GaGa. After finally ditching Preeya Kalidas to “Shimmy” by herself the doors have been left wide open for Mumzy Stranger. East London singer and rapper is finally ready to release some new work since the early projects of his career from almost a year ago. Despite just coming off a record which almost fell into the minus off the charts (Preeya Kalidas “Shimmy“), there is already hype circulating industry floors building up the heat of his next single release titled “Fly With Me“.
Impossible to box in a specific genre, “Fly With Me“ draws influences from dance music combined with smooth R&B vocals and a distinct dancehall flavour – Co-written and co-produced with renowned producer and long time mentor, Rishi Rich, Mumzy Stranger has been making a name for himself on the urban and Asian underground scene over the last few years. Mumzy started out on East London’s grime scene battling with other MCs before discovering the Asian club scene when he started University. Combing the two genres with his love of dancehall music, Mumzy Stranger started becoming one of the key figures on the Asian music scene.
Already playing to crowds of 60,000 people (something which some “main-stream” artists fail to do – no names, but just though I’d drop Rihanna in this one!) Mumzy Stranger will be finishing his debut album which will be released in 2011. As you can expect from an artist who mixes sounds and styles, he is determined not to be pigeonholed. He told us “I’m not an Asian doing R&B music. I’m a soulful, R&B, bashment artist who happens to be Asian. Rihanna finally sells out and arena and makes Kanye West cry

Rihanna partied like a rock star following her first headlining concert at NYC’s Madison Square Garden on Thursday (Aug. 12). RiRi’s newest tattoo was on full display as she headed to the after-party at Greenhouse with celebs like Jadakiss and Carmelo Anthony. Her 15th tat inscribed on her neck reads “Rebelle Fleur,” which translates to Rebel Flower. Kanye West was in the house at his labelmate’s “Last Girl on Earth” tour, later saying that he got emotional after watching her take the stage. Rihanna toured with West on his “Glow in the Dark” trek.
“So I went to Rihanna’s concert tonight and when I saw her do ‘I’m so hard, eh eh eh,’ I’m not gonna lie to ya’ll, I might of actually started crying—just to see my little sisteronstage with her production and her outfit and her song and rocking Madison Square Garden at her own show sold out,” he told the crowd at his secret show. “It was a very emotional moment for me and I’m just so proud of her.” – aw how sweet!
I mean there is no doubt that Rihanna gets loads of love from her record label home-town, but even more so maybe finally Rihanna has just managed to detach herself from her haters maybe? – I mean when was the last time we herd someone praising Rihanna on her LIVE performance? Rihanna’s new album is expected late this year and is being claimed to be her best project yet!
But what seems to be on everyone’s mind is all about RiRi’s new tattoo! (I personally don’t see the hype!). According to some sources the tatto’s wording seems to be wrong! the experts believe that if ‘rebelle fleur’ is used in a sentence, then the words should be the other way around as ‘fleur rebelle.’ However, if Rihanna’s tattoo artist has made a mistake, it will be easy to rectify because reports have suggested that the ink is only temporary, until the “Umbrella“ singer decides whether to get it done for real. Alicia Keys talks Beatz and her pregnancy

R&B singer Alicia Keys, who is currently five months pregnant with her first child by her fiancé and music producer Swizz Beatz, is apparently loving everything about being pregnant.
The 29-year-old hit-maker said that she needs to be peaceful and happy during her pregnancy and that impending motherhood has changed her.
Alicia Keys told us “Oh, I love children and I love family and I love that interaction. Because I had a really close relationship with my mother I understand that deep powerful love, and it’s so beautiful. To be a mother to a child is the most brilliant gift, it’s gorgeous.”. I’m sure this is all an exciting moment for Alicia Keys, however the “No One” singer seems to be making slightly more public appearances now from when she was promoting her “Element of Freedom” album? Is someone trying to cover-up all the drama that’s gone on with their management?, I think so!
Alicia Keys then went on to say “I’m definitely in a place where I have a different sensibility about things. I remember how I used to be, ‘I’m going on the road and I’m

Jennifer Lopez slammed with £20 million lawsuit!

Looks like J-Lo has really gone down to an all time low! A luxury hotel in northern Cyprus is suing Jennifer Lopez for $40 million after she cancelled a performance (is that how low Jennifer Lopez has gone to? Hotel performances?). J-Lo had agreed to appear at the Cratos Premium hotel and casino complex on 24 July, her 41st birthday and the anniversary of the island’s 1974 invasion by Turkey.
But the decision sparked outrage among fans who claimed her performance would help legitimise Turkey’s occupation of the region. After an online campaign by angry Greek Cypriot fans, including a Facebook page against the concert, the “Love Don’t Cost A Thing“ singer cancelled her performance – she sure knows how to wheel in the fans! A spokesperson explained the decision: “Jennifer Lopez would never knowingly support any state, country, institution or regime that was associated with any form of human rights abuse. After a full review of the relevant circumstances in Cyprus, it was the decision of management to withdraw from the appearance. This was a team decision that reflects our sensitivity to the political realities of the region.”
According to reports, the hotel owner has offered to halt the lawsuit if Jennifer changes her mind and performs as scheduled. Jennifer Lopez is currently working on her new album under new management with Island Def Jam – she is set to make her “comeback” (which she’s been trying to do for the last three years) later on this year. Nicki Minaj: “I speak to Wayne, he’s in great spirits…”

Current holder of #1 on the Billboard Rap chart Nicki Minaj has shared her thoughts on what her boss Lil Wayne will do when he completes his one-year jail sentence.
She told us ”I speak to Wayne, he’s in great spirits. He’s hilarious, always making me laugh whenever I talk to him. He’s his same self it seems to me, just even more business-minded. I speak to him often.”
Nicki Minaj’s new album is set to drop this year, and with a lot of hype around the Young Money group and suggested family tour – it all comes down to Lil Wayne’s new material which should hit shelves as soon as he’s out!
“I know when he comes out, it’s gonna be a problem, ’cause he’s one of those people that needs to get out his thoughts. So I would imagine he would probably be in the studio for 60 days straight. He’ll probably do three albums the day he comes home.” – Although I question the realism behind that statement Nicki Minaj, there is doubt that Lil Wayne will have a much extended creative streak!

Alicia Keys is “putting her unborn child at risk!” says management

Alicia Keys, who fell during her performance of “Love Is Blind” at the New Orleans’ Essence Music Festival has been advised (yet again) by her management to take the performance a little more easy. The “No One” singer slipped and fell flat on her back whilst she was singing the chorus to the expected forth lead single of the album “The Element of Freedom“.
This isn’t the first time that Alicia Keys has pushed herself a little too far during her pregnancy, only days ago she decided to climb on top of her piano during her BET performance! – I mean we all love and adore Alicia Keys‘ music, but now this is just becoming a cry for attention. I honestly do think that Alicia Keys really needs to start listening to the people at J Records and stop touring! – There will be other albums, I’m sure!
Alicia Keys who is six months into her pregnancy had to cut short her “Freedom Tour”, and in a recent statement J Records commented on the events surround Alicia Keys they said “due to Alicia Keys‘ pregnancy, promotion for the album will be eased” they then went on to comment on her actions “If Alicia Keys continues to do so, she will be putting her unborn child at risk!”. In all honesty I would be surprised to see Alicia Keys still doing her stuff even eight months! I wonder what father of child, rapper Swizz Beatz has to say about this?

Rihanna cancels yet another concert!

Things appear to be going from bad to worse for Rihanna. The model’s US ‘Last Girl On Earth Tour’ leg is reportedly in disarray due to poor ticket sales, with yet another show being cancelled just days before it was set to take place. – umhm I told you!!!
According to promoter Live Nation, the July 2nd stop in Seattle’s White River Amphitheatre has been scrapped due to (wait for it!) “production changes” (girl who we’re not stupid! we saw those ticket sales go down just like you did in “Rude Boy“). The cancellation is the latest in a string of erased dates, which include stops in Texas and Arizona. Slightly odd seeing the success of the tour in Europe, maybe people are really being influenced by the Chris Brown sympathy movement.
For some time now, there has been increasing talk of poor ticket sales of RiRi’s US tour (with hit and miss box office scores on the European leg). Hence, confirmation of such speculation comes as little surprise. I suppose that is what happens when you ignore all other signs of poor sales and then run down the budget at your record label! Chris Brown cancels tour!

So Chris Brown was going on a fan tour (that’s if he’s got any left!) – however Brown who managed to sell out venues across the globe (for example London’s 02 Arena) a couple of years ago has down downgraded to a much more embarrassed theatre tour. However all the likes of that maybe over! As Chris Brown was declined entry to the United Kingdom!
With poor sales to the good album titled “Graffiti“,I’m beginning to lose Chris Brown on this one. With very little ticket sales and no tour sell out yet this could be a bumpy and hurtful ride for Chris Brown. Despite on going issues around the artist; he’s ditched plans of laying low but instead decided to “fight” back and do this one for the fans! As a result; news hits fan who went to their twitters and facebooks and voiced their anger!
I do feel sorry for him (hasn’t he been punished enough!?) Chris Brown as we all know is know for for putting on a good show; however with very little workable material form the new album that would match the previous tours many people have been put off Chris Brown all togehter (come on now, who get’s excited for Chris Brown these days!?).
It’s a real shame to see this happen to Chris Brown; if he wants my advice (which I’ve given many times!) is lay low! Take a break and start work on a fresher sound for a new album. Chris Brown is not stuck in a dead-end, however pushing a failing project will not help you at all - in fact it’s wasting a lot of money.
Although “Graffiti” is a good album; it’s how events have unveiled which meant that this work wasn’t judged fairly (in all fairness). Read the rest of this entry »
Eminem “Not Afraid”

Although i’m not crazy for this new Eminem stuff that’s been surfacing around at the moment, but “Not Afraid” is track that may stick around for a long time. Eminem who is currently promoting his new album “Recovery” has a much more darker rap sound to previous albums. Eminem who I say is one of the most progressed rappers in the industry to date; has kept himself in the spotlight for his fans. The new album “Recovery” without a doubt will show his own career and personal struggles over the recent years.
Tracks which will feature Pink, Rihanna and Lil Wayne have already leaked onto the internet; however Interscope Reocrds have assured us that “Recovery” is set to sell millions and chart a high place. The album which was meant to be called “Relapse 2″ and also expected 2009 (making it the second album of 2009 for Eminem) was pushed back into 2010 so that Eminem could work on further tracks. As for the video of “Not Afraid” follows the dark trend that Eminem is seeking for in this project, “Recovery” will be available in Europe from June 18 2010 and UK June 21 and US June 22, Interscope Records are currently readying the promotional tour.
