“I’m Proud 2 say ive joined da same management as Timbaland & Jim Beanz, which is Mike Daddy of Sunset entertainment/Timberland Productions.” is what super producer Rishi Rich tweeted only hours ago. Responsible for the success of the likes of Jay Sean, Mumzy Stranger and other world class ethnic acts will now also nurture the likes of Ashanti, Danity Kane, Jamie Foxx, Keri Hilson, Nelly Furtado, Shakira and of course Timbaland. Could this mean we can expect another album from Rishi Rich very soon?Who knows! I guess the only direction for Rishi and his label Rishi Rich Productions is up!

Now, let me put this in the nicest way possible (please give me a moment) – Rihanna is not a talented singer in any sense of the word and she is definitely not a songwriter, so it is quite baffling that she could be expected to judge such a competition. In fact, most of the material included on her own projects is actually handed to her, along with the direction of her music and image. It’s all carefully calculated by her label.

I mean maybe they put her on there to just fill up a seat? With such a talented panel and a presence of a R&B star (Timbaland) already there, I mean what would possess you to place Rihanna on any (let alone a song-writing competition) sort of panel? Really, what was the need? I can only imagine of how worse this can get! I mean what is next for Rihanna? A place as a judge American Idol judging panel? – I mean if that goes down then I might have to shut this site!

Keri Hilson has talked about writing big hits for artists such as Britney Spears and Omarion and not keeping them for herself, but she doesn’t care as it made her a lot of money. She told us: “No, its money in the bank. That’s my means of living. There’s two sides of me, and neither takes preference. One is just a dream that I fought long and hard for. Songwriting was my Plan B. My whole life, I’ve fought to just do this. I didn’t know that I’d be able to take off as far, or as fast, as I did, but I knew I had a talent and that I should pursue it, because there’s money in it. When I wasn’t able to perform, and lost the record deal, I took the path of Plan B, and now I love them equally.

“I can’t have one without the other. Even at my biggest, I want to be writing for other artists. Even at my peak, the highest I can be as an artist, I always want to be keeping my creative juices flowing, keeping money in the bank, putting my intellectual property out there.” Even so, Keri Hilson hasn’t yet got a hit without the help of a duo or feature of the track! For example Ne-Yo/Kanye West and not forgetting Timbaland! I think what she was trying to say is, She don’t care if the next album flops, she making enough money through song writing, she don’t care! She got money in the bank! A little disappointed with Keri Hilson, I really thought tracks like “Energy” and “I like”  could of done well, maybe it’s Keri Hilson‘s management not placing her right within her market? I’m sure the new album will have some hits, after all it’s Keri Hilson!

Some will remember Ginuwine, along with Timbaland, Missy Elliott, and the late Aaliyah were the huge chart topping forces back in the 90s! But then we all know (along side his increasing weight and health problem!) Timbaland loves to add news friends to his place (you get that? plate/food – I crack myself up!). Here is what Ginuwine told Vibe Magazine.

“He really hasn’t been interested in working with me, so I can’t speak on the present,” what Ginuwine tells VIBE of Timbaland. “But back in the days, it spoke for itself as far as him being the most sought after producer. Music was boring until he came out with that new sound. Back then, I would have described it as futuristic because it was something that had not been done and people jumped on it. If it wasn’t for him making that style as hot as it is, a lot of producers that’s out now maybe wouldn’t even be here.”

The singer adds that he’s still upset at Timbaland (but hey, what can you do?) for not supporting him promotionally on his 2009 project, A Man’s Thoughts, despite producing a song for the album.

“Me and Tim were real close at one point. A lot of the times that I reached out, there were a bunch of excuses,” explains Ginuwine. “I begged and pleaded with him because I felt a certain way but I was like, is it just a bad vibe that I’m picking up on? Maybe I’m bugging out, I don’t know. But it came out to be true and I still feel like he owes me an apology for that. The reason I’m pissed off at him now is because of what he did. I would’ve been cool and not bothered him if he would’ve said, ‘Nah, I’m too busy,’ or gave me the lame excuse like he’s been giving me. But don’t do it and then not do what you’re supposed to do [to promote the song].”

While some have labeled Timbo a sell-out because of his recent work with pop stars like Justin Timberlake and Nelly Furtado, Ginuwine disagrees.

“I don’t know about the sold out thing. I think any smart businessman would go where the money is bigger, but I also feel like you don’t forget your roots either,” says Ginuwine. “You don’t alienate the people that helped you and started you out… What is it about me now that you just don’t like? And if it is something, say it. I can take truth. I can’t take that kind of stuff and right now I don’t really like him. I really don’t. That’s not being a man.”

Ginuwine is roughly 18 songs into his upcoming seventh album, Elgin, which he hopes to release this August. Producers include Bryan Michael Cox and Diane Warren.

After the poor commercial success of the poorly fuelled “Shock Values II“, Timbaland finally used his brains and his beats and jumped on a record with rising R&B Hip Hop superstar Drake. All in all this song is making it’s way up on my “recently played” list on my iPod, however the video seems a bit too recession friendly – what the hell happened to all of Timbaland’s money!? (did we buy cake with it!? – no seriously i’m slightly worried about his weight!).

I know that was harsh, but with ages of piracy and the music industry at an all time low, there can be multiple reasons for Timbaland’s “flop” although that said Drake on the other hand has worked his way through a catalogue of songs and seems to be increasing the amount of tracks he features on – watch out, this can be a bit dangerous – no one want’s to be a feature for the rest of their life! However it’s nothing a bit of clever marketing won’t tackle. Even though this track was released in 2009, it’s chart performance has only started now (hmm…?), according to sources there were two versions on the song, the first one released has been removed and been replaced with this one…what’s the difference?

With some tracks I was slightly worried and tried to figure out why Katy Perry and Timbo ever come together, but hands down to him, he came out on top. So like I said, there is nothing special – it’s all pretty much the same old “Okay” stuff. For 17 tracks you will definitely get a Timbaland experience but there isn’t anything on the album that is hotter than “The Way I Are”. To be fair, only having one year to write and album, co-produce other albums and to come out with your own video game is pretty impressive.

If you ask me, it’s one that will reach the charts for a few moments and then leave. This isn’t a “Timbo comeback” – i suppose that’s what (well i thought), this album was gonna be about. Lets just hope this album grows on us, because right now i’m thinking he only pushed this one out to make some quick cash!? Let me know what you guys think!

Chris Brown was meant to lead vocals on Timbaland’s “The One I Love,” but he was cut from the song due to “drama” surrounding him following “Chrianna” (as some people call it!?).

Marcus Spence, Timbaland’s manager, says that the decision to drop Brown was a Musical reason (sure!). According to Spence, it was a “creative decision for both parties…there’s nothing against Chris. We love Chris.” Both Brown and Timbaland’s albums are set to be released Dec. 8 (have fun! so the Diva’s fights are over! Bring it on Divos!).

All that aside Brown promotion behind the album seems to be at an all minimum, with his release date approaching no set promotional tours or any press dates have been confirmed from Jive Records. Jive has been criticized with their choice of date of “Graffiti”‘s release, the album will drop on the same day as 50 Cent’s and Timbaland’s; a few days after Alicia Keys.

No one quite knows how the new album will do, with “Transform Ya” peaking at 45 on the Billboard charts, there no idea where the album will peak at.

Without a doubt this is definitely going to rival the current music games Lips, SingStar and the all new DJ Hero so how will it preform on this Christmas’ games chart? Timbaland told sources why he wanted to create “Beaterator”, “At first there were no music games out there. Next thing you know, “Guitar Hero” came out, and the world responded to it. It was the biggest thing going. So people want to know where music comes from. Guitar Hero teaches the history of certain old groups, but mine is more like what people hear on the radio –Timbaland, Timbaland, Timbaland. Timbaland is known for beats and music. So if Timbaland is known for beats and music, why not make a beats and music game? Why not make my own version of what I think Guitar Hero should be for Timbaland? The world of Timbo.” and what makes this game so special? He answered “”It’s a game, and you can challenge people on who can make the best beats. It’s almost like you can use it at a party… I probably missed a few corners, but thats what going back in and fixing things will do once I hear what fans want and say I didn’t do. That’s why it took me almost four years to make the game”
