Yes, with Alicia Keys due any time during December and being in no fit state to continue with the planned re-release promotion of “The Element of Freedom” album and not forgetting “The Greatest Hits” LP, it’s now becoming even more clear that these projects will not see the light of day.

With Alicia Keys recently parting with management, which is most likely now to be replaced by new husband and hit producer Swizz Beatz. Be side all the dramas around her, it was confirmed today that the single “Put It In A Love Song” has been cancelled for any further promotion and release. SME (Sony Music Entertainment) stated that “the record was now far overdue, and would not place among those records out now. It would not get what it deserves in the current market” – In all fairness, the hype around the track has been killed and true to the point that “Put It In A Love Song” would epically fall out of any chart if released tomorrow.

As for the much awaited video featuring Beyonce, it will be available to download only through purchase however will then not be placed on youtube…huh? If you ask me, they waited too long for people to get excited about the project, people waited and waited – waited so long we forgot what we was waiting for!

Alicia Keys is currently on honeymoon and expects herself to be back in the studio as soon as her baby is born! (more…)

Alicia Keys and hitmaker Swizz Beats tied the knot in Sardinia this weekend. The first images from the couple’s nuptials have emerged. Alicia, Swizz, Swizz’s son, and Alicia’s mother below. R&B singer Alicia Keys, who is currently five months pregnant with her first child by her fiancé and music producer Swizz Beatz, is apparently loving everything about being pregnant.

The 29-year-old hit-maker said that she needs to be peaceful and happy during her pregnancy and that impending  motherhood has changed her.

Alicia Keys told us “Oh, I love children and I love family and I love that interaction. Because I had a really close relationship with my mother I understand that deep powerful love, and it’s so beautiful. To be a mother to a child is the most brilliant gift, it’s gorgeous.”. I’m sure this is all an exciting moment for Alicia Keys, however the “No One” singer seems to be making slightly more public appearances now from when she was promoting her “Element of Freedom” album? Is someone trying to cover-up all the drama that’s gone on with their management?, I think so!

Alicia Keys then went on to say “I’m definitely in a place where I have a different sensibility about things. I remember how I used to be, ‘I’m going on the road and I’m

back when I’m back and I’m probably gone a long time.”, she also then denied rumours of her secret wedding which was meant to happen this weekend to Swizz Beatz! Looks like we just going to have to wait till the baby comes! (more…)

Well with no surprise, Drake told all his fans via his twitter that he’s started work on this new album…already, and may even release it at the end of this year!

Sources told us that the platinum selling rap star a month after releasing his debut album “Thank Me Later“, he’s is already working on the follow-up. He made the announcement to his fans during a late-night Twitter session.

Blame it on the alcohol or just a natural high, but the typically reserved Tweeter shared a little more than usual with his 800,000+ followers. “Started my new album last night too…ok I’m done…” he wrote. “Miss me video tmrw at 9am…tipsy…maybe? naaaaaaah….maybe tho.”

Drizzy also took the time to promote Trey Songz’ upcoming album ”Passion, Pain, & Pleasure“. “MY BROTHER TREY GOT THAT ALBUM I BEEN WAITING FOR!!! SEPTEMBER 14th…take my word for it!!!!!!!!” Trey gave his longtime Canadian pal a sneak peek at the project, whose first single “Bottoms Up” features Nicki Minaj. “I just heard Songz album in his whip in Atlanta while we were drinking Hennessy…shit felt like 07…I’m so proud!” he tweeted.

In addition to “Miss Me,” Drake will reunite with director Anthony Mandler to shoot a video for “Fancy” with T.I. and Swizz Beatz later this week. “Fancy” (a MoMo personal favourite off the album) will be released as the third single off the platinum certified album “Thank Me Later“. (more…)

Fresh off Drake‘s album with “Fancy”, Swizz Beatz (pictured with his two kids) talks to us about how T.I.‘s both film and album are coming along since they’ve been pushed back! Swizz said that T.I. is looking to out-do some of his past hits with the tracks on this forthcoming project titled “King Uncaged“.

The Hip-Hop producers and now Alicia Keys‘ new partner said “What we just did is bigger than those. It’s bigger than “Swing Ya Rag“, it’s bigger than all of those. We’re growing as artists. That’s one of the things I wanted to focus on with Tip, was: ‘We did that already. We don’t need to compete with nobody. You up there.’ Everything we gotta do, we gotta stay leaders. That’s how we got to where we at now.” – Needless to say many Swizz Beatz tracks do well on the Hip-Hop/Rap scene, only looking a few months back with Jadakiss‘ “Who’s Real” only demonstrates the talent that Swizz Beatz has.

He then went on to say “He gave me his OK on that. Gave me the clear lane. And we’re gone. Trust me on that. The first joint, it’s nice. Crazy! The second joint is taking the world over. It’s a positive message, and I’ll let him explain the rest of the story, because he would be glad to. Yes! You herd right! Fresh from her performance at the World Cup opening ceremony, Alicia Keys got her unborn baby blessed in a traditional Zulu ceremony in South Africa. The couple were spotted after the “closed” ceremony was leaked out to the surrounding press. Both Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz looked very happy despite the huge and unexpected media turn out!

She was chosen to recieve the blessing after doing charity work for Bobbi Bear, which receives donations from the “Empire State Of Mind” singer. A spokesperson for the charity, which runs a weekly HIV clinic, told the Daily Mail: ”Alicia has been made part of the tribal family because she really reached out to the people here.” Sources went on to say ”‘Two female priests who practise a mix of Christianity and tribal customs chose new names for her and the unborn child, as a mark of respect. The names were kept between them, but were chosen to reflect Alicia’s character.”

I’m really happy that Alicia Keys has finally put everything on hold and has started to enjoy this time with her new to be husband Swizz Beatz, they are set to have their bundle of joy around December 2010! Not too long now! For more pictures of the ceremony scroll over here! (more…)

Alicia Keys who recently got engaged to producer Swizz Beatz and revealed that she is pregnant. Now the singer is opening up about how excited she is for motherhood – even though she is having to cut her “Freedom Tour” short…not so free now are you Alicia Keys (just kidding!).

Alicia Keys told sources “I can’t wait to become a mum. No question…It’s the most beautiful gift in the world. Truly a gift from God. I have an amazing mother – she is a best friend to me. And I would like to be the same to my child.” We all know about the struggles Alicia Keys‘ mother had to go through to give the talent her daughter has today; she went on to say “Adopting is definitely not out of the question. I would love to figure out the ways that could work for me. I felt I wanted to scoop up the children I met in Africa and take them home. At this point I kinda feel I have amazing brothers and sisters in Africa.”.

You know; in all for adopting children (good for you!) – but why Africa!? Are there not enough disadvantaged children in the states? why you gotta go and follow the trend and pick up one of these children (like they some sort of item or household gift) from Africa!? I would understand if Alicia Keys has some relative who’s baby’s mama passed away and so Alicia would look after the kid – that fine!

I don’t know (i’m not going to judge here, but hey!); I’m sure aswell Alicia Keys will make a good mother! She just better make sure she keeps Swizz Beatz on lock so he don’t get another R&B singer preggers and leaves her! (more…)

It was confirmed today that Swizz Beatz (husband and father of child to Alicia Keys) will be working on Nicki Minaj‘s debut album. Swizz Beatz currently worked on Jay Z‘s, Drake’s and T.I.‘s album.

Sources told us that Female rapper Nicki Minaj has just recruited Swizz Beatz to help her on her upcoming debut album entitled, “Catch Me”. The “Massive Attack” Barbie lover claims that the she and the super-producer have a great chemistry which will create some new, futuristic records.

Nicki Minaj told us ”He definitely expressed interest in an interview one time. I was excited because I was like, Swizz Beatz, I love his style.’ And as a matter of fact, we got some sh*t. Its one song called ‘Catch Me’ that will definitely make the album and it’s a masterpiece from me and Swizz.”

Heads-up; A lot of hype has been going around Nicki Minaj‘s album and people are expecting huge things from it! Nicki Minaj who pulled out of Rihanna‘s tour (which would of exposed her act to the wider market – which is needed!) due to the work on her album went on to talk about the track.

“It’s a little singing, a little rapping, but it’s like a different vibe. It’s a moody vibe. It’s just dope. And the beat sounds really futuristic, but it’s mellow futuristic. It puts you in this weird, like you’re high type sh*t, even though I don’t get high and I never have.”. There are no further confirmed details on Nicki Minaj‘s album titled “Catch Me”. Yes! After months of speculation, it has today been confirmed by Alicia Keys spokesperson; that she is indeed expecting her first child with hitmaker Swizz Beats. What’s more, according to a rep for the couple, they are engaged to be married in a ‘private ceremony’ later this year (don’t worry; we’ll get some pics in for you!).

Further more it looks like Alicia Keys has got a lot more than a tour, album and other projects to be looking forward to! And of course we are all waiting for Mashonda‘s reaction to all this (girl!!!).

R&B/Soul Super star Alicia Keys has been spotted with a much noticeable ”bump” whilst here in the UK. This couldn’t come at a more convenient time after discussing her engagement and forth coming marriage to Swizz Beats. A lot of drama has always been around Alicia Keys since Swizz Beats divorced mother of children and wife Mashonda. Sources first rumoured her pregnancy in early April when sources close to the singer said that “Alicia will need to take it east during her tour…she may be expecting”. Yet it come to mind ; if Ms Key/Beatz found out she was pregnant prior the tour why did she decided to push on with the show.

In all fairness Alicia Keys has a lot more working coming up as soon as she’s finished with the tour bus; with the re-release of “The Element of Freedom” (which was certified platinum a month ago) and up coming projects with other singers; it’s going to be hard to fit all that around when the her first child comes! In other news UPN had given Alicia the green light to create a short drama series of the life of Alicia Keys and seeing how she come from the bi-racial family who split whilst Keys was at young age and then will show her progressing into a world class act – hmm does this sound like Mariah Carey‘s “Glitter” – well I hope Alicia Keys handles this project well; things like this do not always turn out the best for acts like this. Further to say, in my opinion Alicia Keys should ditch the whole re-release project of “The Element of Freedom“; how much further can you do with that LP unless a reissue with a new track list will take place – the album will slowly become a dead end; and focus on a new LP…maybe, well just maybe?
