Alicia Keys made her first official public appearance since giving birth to her son Egypt Daoud Dean last month. The new mom, showing off her post-baby bod in a leather skirt, boots, and scarf, stepped out in style as GQ celebrated her husband Swizz Beatz’ appearance in the November issue. The loving couple danced and showed some PDA at Kastel at Trump SoHo Hotel in New York City before driving off in their Aston Martin.
Mamma alert! New Mum Alicia Keys is gracing the pages of the November issue of Vogue Italia and boy is she looking stunning! Alicia Keys gave birth last month to her first child, Egypt, with her husband Swizz Beatz, the photos were taken while she was still pregnant.
Alicia spoke about being photographed during her pregnancy saying, “I like to transform myself like a chameleon. The photos showing me pregnant seemed brave and strong to me, just how I feel at this time”

“It’s A Boy!” – Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz

It’s a boy for Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz! After nine months with a bun in the oven, the Grammy-winning songstress has given birth to a son named Egypt Daoud Dean. She reportedly checked herself into New York’s St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center yesterday, delivering her child in a private section of the maternity ward.
This is Keys’ first child, while Swizz welcomes his third son. The couple wed in the Mediterranean a few months after announcing that Keys was pregnant with their child.
“I’m so thankful for everything I been blessed with in my life wowwwwww! #realtalk,” tweeted Swizz late last night.
Friends have already given their blessing to the new parents. “I’m So excited 2 Congratulate my brother @ therealswizzz and @Alicia keys on there New, baby, boy!!!!!!!” tweeted Mary J. Blige, who has recently been working with Swizzy in the studio.

Alicia Keys calls on star list friends to help push “Buy Life” campaign

Alicia Keys is only a few weeks away from giving life to her first child, but first she’s giving birth to the “Buy Life” campaign. The pregnant songstress sports a T-shirt with a unique barcode in her ad to benefit the Keep a Child Alive foundation. Other celebrity supporters include Usher, Jay Sean, Kim Kardashian, Ryan Seacrest, and hubby Swizz Beatz.
Each ad has a scannable technology built-in allowing users to use their cell phone to donate money to help give life to millions of people affected by HIV/AIDS in Africa and India by providing medicine, food, and shelter.
“With the money raised [at the Black Ball], KCA can now help save even more lives affected by this horrible pandemic,” stated Keys. “With the launch of the BUY LIFE campaign, I’mconfident less people will needlessly have to die because of lack of proper healthcare.”

Drake’s ‘Fancy’ was Mary J. Blige’s song first, Swizz Beatz reveals

“‘Fancy‘ has been well-traveled,” said Swizz Beatz, who produced the song. “It started off as a Swizz record. Then I got Mary [J. Blige] on it. It was supposed to be on her [Stronger With Each Tear], but we missed the deadline. Then I pulled it back for my [upcoming] record. Then five o’clock one morning, on the phone speaking with Drake, he’s in a different time zone, we’re trying to figure out what he needs [for his album]. He’s like, ‘Yo, I just need a record for the ladies.’ I’m on my computer playing him joints over the phone. Then I played him ‘Fancy.’ I was like, ‘You want something like this?’ But I was playing it as a reference.”
On the original version of “Fancy,” Swizz raps about an educated girl who works at the Guggenheim Museum, while MJB sang about an independent female. “She got it all together,” Blige sings. “She don’t need you to help her/ She got her own paper/ She don’t need you to take her on a shopping spree/ My girl’s fancy, fly and free.” Drake didn’t want something like what Swizz played; he wanted that exact song for his album. ”He was like, ‘That’s the record I need,’ ” Swizz recalled. “I said, ‘OK, I’ll make you that.’ ” Drake replied: “No. That’s the record I need.”
“I’m a producer first,” Swizz said. “So he can have the record. I’m still on it, it’s still love. He’s a heck of an artist, and I feel no ways but honored.” The finished version of the song we hear on the album features Drake, Swizz and T.I., but at least one other MC was on the wish list to be on the song. ”Andre 3000 was supposed to be on ‘Fancy,’ ” Swizz revealed. “Drake had a group of people he wanted to be on it: Andre, Tip, this one, that one. But the deadline for the album rushed a lot of things. [Drake] can tell you the rest, but Tip just wound up being on it. Which I’m cool with, cause that’s the homie.”. Alicia Keys is “putting her unborn child at risk!” says management

Alicia Keys, who fell during her performance of “Love Is Blind” at the New Orleans’ Essence Music Festival has been advised (yet again) by her management to take the performance a little more easy. The “No One” singer slipped and fell flat on her back whilst she was singing the chorus to the expected forth lead single of the album “The Element of Freedom“.
This isn’t the first time that Alicia Keys has pushed herself a little too far during her pregnancy, only days ago she decided to climb on top of her piano during her BET performance! – I mean we all love and adore Alicia Keys‘ music, but now this is just becoming a cry for attention. I honestly do think that Alicia Keys really needs to start listening to the people at J Records and stop touring! – There will be other albums, I’m sure!
Alicia Keys who is six months into her pregnancy had to cut short her “Freedom Tour”, and in a recent statement J Records commented on the events surround Alicia Keys they said “due to Alicia Keys‘ pregnancy, promotion for the album will be eased” they then went on to comment on her actions “If Alicia Keys continues to do so, she will be putting her unborn child at risk!”. In all honesty I would be surprised to see Alicia Keys still doing her stuff even eight months! I wonder what father of child, rapper Swizz Beatz has to say about this?
