This is a MoMo exclusive; Pop sensation Alexandra Burke sent the British press into a frenzy last night, after being snapped out hand-in-hand with KISS FM DJ and MTV presenter Rickie Haywood- Williams! – Hard to believe that Alexandra Burke would fall for someone within the industry, with many people thinking she’d go for someone that wasn’t in the press lime-light or low-light (I joke, I joke).
With X-Factor winner branching out for a new look despite recent chart failure Alexandra Burke heated it up and gone for a more “sex-appeal” look – which at times if not handled carefully could be damaging for her! Her new single “All Night Long” which features rapper Putbull although slightly improved effort off the album (which received mixed reviews). The new single “All Night Long” is clearly built on Michelle William‘s sample of “We Break A Dawn“; but it’s clear that this is style that Alexandra Burke can work with; which she does really well.
Maybe her new love may inspire her on her next project which is currently under development; Alexandra Burke said “yes we [Sony Music] are working on some new stuff…really excited, it’s going to be a lot different from this one [Overcome Album] we put out…but yeah I’m really excited should be ready end of this year”. Things have seemed to gone from bad to wrose on the European leg of Whitney Houston’s “Nothing But Love Tour” (poor Whit!)
After postponing the first date (a reported sell out!), in Paris this week, Whitney Houston’s label have announced that another 3 shows have been postponed due to the singer coming down with a respiratory infection. The illness being one which saw the 46 year old rushed to French hospital yesterday. It’s not clear if the infection will permanently affect Whitney’s voice.
Sony Music UK sent the following press release, discussing the issue, as well as advising on re-scheduled dates and refunds. Let’s just hope she gets better! (well, no one told you to squeeze a world tour in 3 months did they!?).

Okay news just in! An unstoppable force when alive, the legend of the King of Pop Michael Jackson is living up to its billing, even after the singer’s untimely death. It has today been announced that Jackson’s estate have signed a record-breaking deal with Sony Music Entertainment, worth $250 Million – a figure which earns the lucrative deal the title of the the biggest record deal in music history!
So what does that mean? (who actually knows!?), well in a nut shell the Sony Music now have all official loyalties for anything Michael Jackson! This pushed Sony Music rightinfront of Warner Brother Music and Universal, making Sony Music label one of the most richest endorsed record label in the world. Okay – so Mariah Carey dropped her huge R&B single titled “Up Out My Face” featuring Nicki Minaj. The song will appear on her remix album for “Memoirs of An Imperfect Angel” titled “Angels Advocate”. Despite the poor reception of “Memoirs of An Imperfect Angel” MiMi’s tour sold out within a few days of sale. Mariah Carey isn’t taking herself too seriously in this video (which at times is a problem…sweeties y’all gonna be hitting 40 soon!).
So, the video reminds me slightly of “Touch My Body” – but then it’s clear that the days of when Mariah Carey rocked R&B are long gone and she should settle down for her ballads, which will all soon be a lot easier as she is planning to leave the Island Def Jam music group and possibly fly to Warner Bros or even back to her home (after all they have the all the rights and she’s still their biggest selling artist even though she’s no longer there) Sony Columbia! Either way, Mariah needs to go back to her 90′s self, videos like this can only come around once…and I mean once Mariah!
