Drake, Trey Songz and Pitball land Kodak endorsement deal

Drake, Trey Songz, and Pitbull have a lot to smile about. The music trio has been tapped by Kodak to appear in the company’s “So Kodak” integrated marketing campaign.
The campaign, which launches in early October, draws on the brand’s unique position in pop culture to engage young, socially-connected consumers. It coincides with the introduction of the newest Kodak EasyShare digital cameras featuring Kodak’s exclusive Share Button, which allows consumers to share their pictures and videos with their social network.
As part of the initiatives, the three stars will be featured in a multi-platform advertising and marketing campaign designed to bring to life what it means to be “So Kodak,” a phrase used to describe things that are hot and worth talking about. The campaign will consist of a series of television spots helmed by music video director Chris Robinson, along with print and online advertising, exclusive events, social media engagement, and consumer promotions.

Kanye West invited back to the VMAs

“Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time…of all time!” - Despite his headline-grabbing appearance at last year’s show, MTV has invited Kanye West back to perform at this year’s Video Music Awards.
All eyes will be on Mr. West when he takes the stage at the 27th annual show – just make sure you brace yourselves – it may be Justin Bieber this time round.
Kanye had everyone talking after he interrupted Taylor Swift during her acceptance speech at last year’s event. He was reportedly asked by MTV to leave the show following the spectacle. But the hoopla is bound to attract viewers who will be tuning in to see whether Kanye has any more surprises up his sleeve.
The VMA gig is only one of many things Kanye has planned for this year. “More music … I’m bout to drop a bunch of shit this year.. surprise performances.. guest verses… living in the studio,” tweeted the rapper, whose fifth album is set for a November release.
Maybe we should give Kanye West the benefit of the doubt – after all he did announced he was a changed man? – right? But if you’re asking me MTV is so just doing this so they boost up the views, and a VMA will never be a VMA without Kanye West!

Rihanna is out…again

Rihanna turned heads in a lime green dress and flaming red hair while leaving one of her favorite New York restaurants, Da Silvano, with boyfriend Matt Kemp.
Thanks to her “Love the Way You Lie” collaboration with Eminem, RiRi has tied Beyoncé, and Lady Gaga for the most No. 1 songs on the Pop Songs radio airplay chart, according to Billboard. While Rihanna may already be taken, Eminem‘s grandmother Betty Kresin thinks her grandson and his collaborator would make a cute couple. “Rihanna would make a suitable partner for Marshall,” she reportedly told us. “But he needs to enjoy life and not get carried away with any relationships at the moment.”
After failing to impress her fans on recent “failed” tour Rihanna is now working on her next project, which according to Island Def Jam insiders is set to be her most successful project yet…yeah – We’ve herd this all before. However with little hope of Rihanna‘s public image improving whilst the public begins to favour Chris Brown – RiRi will need anything to her back into the lime light which she doesn’t need!
Also, just a thought - notice how boyfriend Matt Kemp is always behind Rihanna, or just always looks upset or stressed when photographed around her…do I smell problems? Yes! Jay Z and Kanye West have dinner

Yes, photographed Hip-Hop heavyweights Kanye West and Jay-Z catching up over dinner at Italian restaurant Nello’s in New York. For obvious reasons, we have no idea what the two disused at dinner, but with growing drama around Kanye West album this could of been the right time for mentor Jay-Z maybe to have a few moment of support. In addition with Jay-Z‘s compilation album drawing closer and closer to release maybe it was time for both the have a little catch up (aww…how cute). Needless to say there is something a bit too fishy about this all this.
Jay-Z‘s compilation album is set for release around December 2010, with no confirmation of the progress in development of the project you can pretty much expect nothing more than a Greatest Hits LP - multiplied by three! And as for Kanye West‘s album…well that project seems to be all over the place. Either way keep it locked for more info!
