Legendary female rap star Lil Kim has spoken about how Jay-Z and his label, Roc Nation, have reached out to her in the past and attempted to sign her. – EW! Please please don’t! Kim said that she and Jay are really good friends and that Mr. Beyoncé understands that she is just trying to do her thing, independently, at the moment. Melody Thornton, “I’m working on my album…”

After her contract finishing with Universal’s A&M, Melody Thornton told close sources that she in the development and writing stage of her album despite a label behind her. Chances of an independent release is very unlikely (the star hasn’t racked up enough money form her red carpet appearances to do that exactly!), Melody Thornton rocked her red heels to Diddy’s All-Star bash in Hollywood, is said to be in talks with industry chief Diddy. Which comes as now surprise as band mate Nicole wasn’t slow in jumping onto the Red One umbrella to produce her “Dance Hits” , I would like to see what kind of sound Melody Thornton brings when the album is complete. Can’t wait to find out who’s sitting in the front row at tonight MTV Video Music Awards? Pics of seating cards inside Los Angeles’ Nokia Theatre hit the web, giving a sneak peek of what you can expect when the camera swings from the stage to the audience.
Thirteen-time nominee Lady Gaga is seated next to Eminem in the front, with Diddy positioned a seat away from Slim Shady, while Usher, Drake, and Nicki Minaj have seats reserved behind them. Justin Timberlake will grab a chair next to his Social Network co-star Jesse Eisenberg, and performer Florence of Florence + the Machine cops a spot behind Minaj.
Though you’ll be spoiling some of the surprise by checking the pics below, you’ll have to tune in tomorrow to see the real magic unfold onstage.

T.I. talks fashion and his five most admired people…

Rapper T.I. has opened up about what he likes when it comes to fashion. He says that Jay-Z and P Diddy are two hip-hop artists that have ‘proper swagger’ (knowing how to dress well).
Tip, who also runs a clothing line called Akoo, says that he doesn’t like coloured jeans or Vans and doesn’t like the showing his socks.He told us: “Puff has an all-around style, upscale, urban and classic. I can say that for both. They just have a different way of doing it.” he spoke.
“I am very selective with my clothes. This is a time where fashion and style go against what I would rather do myself. So I have to pick and choose from people that share my enthusiasm when it comes to certain things.” – Of course, the diva that you are!
“I’m not going to do red jeans. No green jeans. I don’t do Vans and that’s the style right now. I don’t want to show my socks when I’m wearing jeans. So, when you ask me who I look up to and who I can admire for their style right now, I have to choose from people that represent what I represent stylistically.”
Needless to say, that T.I. really has no say on fashion, coming from the guy who either rolls up in a crisp suit or baggy jeans and a white tee. T.I.‘s new album “King Uncaged” is expected to drop later this month.
And in other news, T.I. stars alongside some of Hollywood’s leading men in his new action flick “Takers“. But who does the King of the South look up to in his personal life and career? He shards five power players in music, Hollywood, and business who Tip admires for their talent, hustle, and swag.
Jay-Z: He done the rap shit to the best it could be done. He’s done it better than anyone who’s ever done it and then…Master P: He came from the same ghetto and bullshit that I came from and turned himself into a corporate conglomerate. Followed by Russell Simmons: I look up to Russ, because … he started this shit and he still here. Will Smith: He got it right. Will transitioned from rapping to acting and did it at a stellar level of performance.
Diddy: He’s fly as I am; just as conceited, pompous, and arrogant as me, but he managed to maintain a humble sense of self. Puff got enough sense to know—even though he feels like he’s more the shit than anybody else—when they got something going on that [he] ain’t got. Diddy denies Lil Kim and Nicki Minaj “beef”

As we all know sadly Hip-Hop’s top ladies have been having some communication issues (LOL we love it really!); so has the Nicki Minaj and Lil Kim “beef” deepens P.Diddy dismissed the entire issue all together during an interview.
P.Diddy is currently managing Nicki Minaj (who is set to do well when her album drops in the third quarter of 2010); Minaj has been frequently compared to Kim with both known for risqué outfits and filthy lyrics. Lil Kim had these nice words to say “For the last year, she’s been subliminally taking shots at me, subliminally taking shots at the other girls in the industry… and Puffy is sitting right next to her…It’s obvious that she likes my music and that she’s trying to mimic what I’m doing.” – You know i’m fed up of Lil Kim – really come on now…who still listens to that out of date unwanted rapper!?
P.Diddy told MTV “I want to say I love Lil’ Kim, man. I’m sorry that she’s mad. I never would have thought that by me working with another artist that she would take it the wrong way…But if she’s taking it the wrong way, it ain’t meant like that. Nicki never did anything to her. (She) has always been respectful of her and Nicki’s not trying to be her…. She’s a different MC. Fat Joe backs Lil Kim in Nicki Minaj Beef!

Indeed as tensions are heating up between Nicki Minaj and Lil Kim even more so, Fat Joe recently exposed his opinion on the whole issue. Fat Joe (who is a long-time and good friend of Lil Kim) said recently that Nicki Minaj should just admit that Lil Kim is a legend in her own right! – Erm…and when was the last time we all herd a Lil Kim track!? Actually last time I even saw Lil Kim was when she had that plastic surgery disaster on her face! For those who don’t remember check out “Download” - notice how her face don’t move and her face melting under the intense lighting! (just kidding!).
Fat Joe said “I think she is (Nicki Minaj) super dope. I think she’s sexy, she’s doing her thing. She’s killing them, fly fashion, she’s got it all, you know what I’m saying? It’s like, sky’s the limit. Yeah, Nicki Minaj needs to pay homage; she needs to say, ‘Yo, Kim is dope.’ What’s wrong with that? ‘Yo, Kim is dope, she’s the sh*t.’ – I very much doubt that will ever happen! Nicki Minaj who’s being managed with P.Diddy (who also has unfinished business with Lil Kim too) is very keen not to mention anything about the issue surrounding the whole “beef”. To be whether this is a commercial set up or these girls have got real issues; still raises the question…who cares about Lil Kim!?
Fat Joe went on to say (yeah he got a lot to say!) “I’m a fan, I’ve been in the game for f*cking 17 years and I still say KRS-One is my idol. I still say LL Cool J is my idol. “Bad Bitch” Nicki Minaj, who recently has changed management to the more experienced P.Diddy has finally opened up about recent exposure to her new music and now more importantly her sex tape!
In a recent interview P.Diddy told us ”Nicki Minaj, she’s definitely one of the great ones. She has a long way to go, but you know how we recognized LeBron [James] was a great one, Tiger [Woods] was a great one, and Kobe [Bryant] was a great one? Nicki is up there. Her story has just begun.” Indeed it has, with Nicki Mina‘s debut album to hit stores this October. Nicki Mina has also recently featured on more commercial hits such as “My Chick Bad” with Ludacris, “Lil Freak” with Usher and “Up Out My Face” with Mariah Carey; alongside her own début single “Massive Attack“.
Nicki Minaj sex tape which surfaced only days ago is already set to fetch $1,000,000! Nicki Minaj told us ”I don’t know where I fit in the spectrum of rap yet … people thought I was more of a sex symbol or wannabe sex symbol…I’m trying to entertain, and entertaining is more than exuding sex appeal. I don’t think that’s fun. I don’t find it fun watching someone trying to be sexy. It’s wack.”

Usher says “No!” to Diddy on Justin Bieber!

Okay so there is fresh beef surrounding “Baby” singer Justin Bieber. Mentor and talent spotter Usher has claimed he will not be giving any of P.Diddy‘s advice onto the young teen sensation who took over radio waves back in July 2009.
Usher who was mentored by P.Diddy (known then as Puff Daddy) told him that “Sex, Drugs and Alcohol would not work” for Justin Bieber image; Of course it wouldn’t, this kid is like what 7!? – I joke! He’s 16! Usher old us “I had Puff as my mentor, but I wouldn’t pass on any of the advice he gave me,” He laughed. “Hip-hop, sex, drugs and alcohol wouldn’t really work for Justin’s image. He’s headed in the right direction. I’ve told him to do everything I wouldn’t do.”. Currently Justin Bieber is ranked 5 of the best selling artists of the Island Def Jam group (averaged through digital sales and airplay).
I think Justin Bieber is just fine the way he is; if we all look back to 2006-9 where P.Diddy caused the failure of Bad Boy Entertainment and losing all three bands he made from his reality MTV series “Make The Band”; therefore I’m sure Puff is the last guy I’ll look to. Yet I still wonder when Usher says “He has this amazing talent. He has the voice, the personality, he has so many God-given talents. As he begins to open up and go out of his comfort zone in music, he’s going to get even greater.” – I honestly cannot see Justin Bieber progressing at all. No offence but i’m already tired of him! In other Bieber news (for all you Bieber fans!) sources has claimed that Justin Bieber wan’t the body to match the pop star he is (oh god!), apparently he is hiring Twilight hunk, Taylor Lautner’s personal trainer in a bid to bulk up. A spokes person said ”Justin’s positive he has the intensity and focus to get the same results as Taylor.” They added: “He’s already a megastar at 16 – now he wants the physique to go with it. He wants ripped abs, bulging biceps, and cut thighs.”. Okay…wait for it…”LOL!” At times I do wonder about this kid…i’m sure the new body and the advice off P.Diddy will really shift CDs!
P Diddy to become new manager for Nicki Minaj

With Nicki Minaj firing her previous manager (oddly) after dropping out of the dual Rihanna and Ke$sha world tour, increasing pressure has been put on young money rapper to pull things together to push out and official (not a cheap mixtape!) début album. Nicki Minaj told her fans via her twitter (@NickiMinaj): “Barbz I’m sorry 2 say I will not be going out on RiRI’s tour. I’ve decided 2 use that time 4 the completion of my album.”
Even though the tour would of helped Nicki Minaj‘s public appearance and in some ways gained more fans from other audiences after her disastrous first single “Massive Attack” featuring Sean Garret which did not chart on any R&B Hip Hop chart. With Universal Music Group management unhappy with Nicki Minaj efforts to be more radio friendly and to actually sell discs (and that’s not illegal downloads), she has found herself a new manager.
In order to save her much anticipated career she has hired P.Diddy to manage her next working project, P.Diddy is know for his huge efforts in Bad Boy Entertainment and two failing bands Danity Kane and Day26. Other information has surfaced that Rick Ross will be co-piloting the project. As it stands Nicki Minaj will be pushing the as yet untitled album by this summer. Welcome back Usher!

Usher has officially achieved his 3rd #1 album (out of six!), with “Raymond Vs Raymond“ - he pushed off Justin Bieber‘s “My Worlds” (finally!). Usher already shifting 329,000 copies of the 14 track LP featuring the likes of Nicki Minaj, Ludacris, Will.i.am and P.Diddy will only take a couple of days more for the album to certify Gold!
“OMG” acting as the first UK single for Usher‘s new LP, which début at #7 on the top ten charts – with official release in the UK not until the April 26 this will stimulate buzz over here in the UK for the new album. In addition to that Usher‘s label confirmed that he will be visiting the UK for a short promotion tour and a series of guest appearances.
(Being the “celebrity” I am), I was lucky enough to get the LP – over all this is one of 32 year old’s greatest work – compared to the “okayish” and rushed album “Here I Stand” this new LP’s legacy will last longer, in may ways it imitates a modern version of the “Confessions“ albums (yay!). With that said, Usher has never seemed to change his high standard of performance – with continuing with the live dancing on every set piece he decides to do, it’s also come to my attention that his voice has aged slightly which in some ways adds to Usher‘s new look and new style he’s developed for the new album.
