Omarion was spotted at the VH1’s ‘Basketball Wives Red Carpet Charity Shopping Event in Beverly Hills, California yesterday. The singer was dressed unusually simple at the event compared to his more colourful fashion choices. But fashion is a the last thing on Omarion’s mind, after industry superiors laughed off his attempt of a come back with his previous album and the recent surfacing of the more than disappointing video to his effort with (I don’t even know what the single was called, that’s how bad it is) lead his own manager to say that “Trey Songz had saturated the market” – sources reported that Omarion is taking anti-depressant pills Read the rest of this entry »
Chris Brown attends “Stars Who Care”…

God bless the team has to deal with all of Chris Brown‘s PR! After receiving glowing remarks from the judge during a progress report hearing yesterday, Chris Brown was all smiles at Us Weekly‘s Hot Hollywood “Stars Who Care” event at The Colony in Hollywood on Thursday night. The latest “Dancing with the Stars” castoff, Brandy, was honored for seeking a new heart for an ailing teen, while Nelly’s drive to sign up bone marrow donors earned him a spot on the list. Others lending their support to the charitable stars included Aubrey O’Day, Omarion, and Taio Cruz.
The R&B star was given five years probation and six months community labour after pleading guilty to assaulting former girlfriend Rihanna in February 2009. Brown’s community service has included cleaning roads and removing graffiti, reports BBC News.
“Out of thousands of probationers, no one has done a better or more consistent job than you have,” Judge Patricia Schnegg told Brown. ”I really want to commend you for taking responsibility and for actually working diligently to complete all the things the court has required of you.” – I mean he is moving on, let’s just hope his fans still feel that way! Omarion rocks latest fashion at his birthday

Omarion turned heads with his one-of-a-kind looks during New York Fashion Week, so why would we expect any less on his birthday? The R&B crooner celebrated turning 26 at Marbella nightclub in Hollywood on this week. Wearing gold chains over a tuxedo shirt and bow tie, O let everyone know it was his night to shine. Friends Teairra Mari and fellow B2K member J-Boog joined the festivities.
In other news he share his thoughts on the R&B has gone with all the electro/pop influences etc. The singer doesn’t mind, but he classes real R&B as the type of music that the late Luther Vandross made back in the day.
He said: “I think there are a lot of subcultures in R&B right now. I kind of stand with what I was saying before, there are really no boundaries. But you know, I really don’t look at R&B like it’s R&B, because the real R&B I would say, is like Luther Vandross.”
He went to say “To me, that’s what R&B is. Nowadays I won’t necessarily call it R&B; I would just put it under the ‘soulful music’ category. I love it all. Anything that has a good melody and a catchy hook, I’ll play it.” – Could this mean we could be getting an entirely new LP next time around? So she’s “Fancy” huh?

Mary J. Blige may be the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul, but according to other press, she is also New York’s Queen of Style. MJB was named by the magazine as the Most Stylish New Yorker of 2010. She celebrated her honor at hotspot Lavo in New York City on Wednesday night (Sept. 15).
“It feels great to be New York’s Most Fashionable Woman,” said Mary, reflecting on her evolving style. “[My style] was mostly b-girl ’cause I was never a lady like this when I was growing up. I was really a tomboy.”
Other chic celebs who made the list of 25 Most Stylish New Yorkers of 2010 included Swizz Beatz, Iman, Vampire Weekend, and DJ Kiss. Shontelle, Ryan Leslie, Sean Garrett, Omarion, and more showed up to the party, which capped off Fashion Week.
Must say even though this 42 year old is pretty much saying goodbye to her “golden” days – meaning yes, Mary J. Blige is now losing those record sales has hasn’t entered the top 10 in a very long time, she can still rock a hot outfit!
Never the less, I do question the relivance of Mary J. Blige these days? Really? I mean I love Mary J. Blige and who doesn’t but that album didn’t shift nor did that tour sell out. It’s a shame becuase she’s an amazing act, but time does tell. The only thing that could save Mary J. Blige is maybe a roll in a film? or even (yes!) a fragrance?

In the sea of celebrities we saw during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week over the past few days, no one caught our eye quite like Omarion. The former B2K member showed off his bold style at various runway shows, including Gwen Stefani’s L.A.M.B. presentation where he knocked the socks off the couture crowd. O rarely left home without a bow tie and a pair of sunglasses (to shade him from the night sky, of course). Check out some of the one-of-a-kind looks Mr. Grandberry has been parading around in at Fashion Week.
Funny as it sounds looks like Omarion is finally getting the love he needed when he was pushing out an album, shame the project flopped! But maybe this might push Omarion to work on another piece of work that’s maybe not so much of a flop? – after all as far as I was concerned, I never herd of the album!
Omarion kicked off the week in combat boots, a black jumpsuit, and gold chain at the Y-3 spring 2011 show. The “Ice Box” singer tried to steal the spotlight from Us Weekly’s Most Stylish New Yorker Mary J. Blige with this red button-up shirt, bow tie, and briefcase. Khakis, a denim shirt, oxfords, and a Louis Vuitton belt—O, you fancy, huh? The night before the Gottex show, Omarion paired denim with denim at the grand opening of Lavo NYC. O no you didn’t. Keri Hilson says “No, It’s money in the bank”

Keri Hilson has talked about writing big hits for artists such as Britney Spears and Omarion and not keeping them for herself, but she doesn’t care as it made her a lot of money. She told us: “No, its money in the bank. That’s my means of living. There’s two sides of me, and neither takes preference. One is just a dream that I fought long and hard for. Songwriting was my Plan B. My whole life, I’ve fought to just do this. I didn’t know that I’d be able to take off as far, or as fast, as I did, but I knew I had a talent and that I should pursue it, because there’s money in it. When I wasn’t able to perform, and lost the record deal, I took the path of Plan B, and now I love them equally.
“I can’t have one without the other. Even at my biggest, I want to be writing for other artists. Even at my peak, the highest I can be as an artist, I always want to be keeping my creative juices flowing, keeping money in the bank, putting my intellectual property out there.” Even so, Keri Hilson hasn’t yet got a hit without the help of a duo or feature of the track! For example Ne-Yo/Kanye West and not forgetting Timbaland! I think what she was trying to say is, She don’t care if the next album flops, she making enough money through song writing, she don’t care! She got money in the bank! A little disappointed with Keri Hilson, I really thought tracks like “Energy” and “I like” could of done well, maybe it’s Keri Hilson‘s management not placing her right within her market? Trey Songz “I’m not single ladies…”

To many lady’s dismay, (yes it is true) Trey Songz is engaged to Ethiopian beauty queen Helen (current Miss Ethiopia 2010 and backing dancer). This is the same girl that told Lil Wayne, “thanks but no thanks” when he tried to “holla”. She told him she already had a man and that man is R&B star Trey Songz. Lil Wayne was shocked about the rejection and sources told us he said “I don’t even wanna put that man out there, that might not be his girlfriend, but in her mind she think she yours, dog, and she told me no for you, so you’s a G. And this wasn’t long ago, this was recently, I was the president, I had all that going for me, b*$#&h said NO! She sent me a picture of y’all and everything, like that new video from 50 and Ciara, that’s how y’all was.” – what ever that means!
Trey Songz spoke about being engaged to Helen, saying that “We met about two years ago. We started off just kicking it. She’s a dancer…We’d talk and chill. I didn’t see her much because when I met her, she was on the road with Omarion.” He then went on to say “Now she dances for Chris Brown. She was on the road dancing for Omarion and Marques Houston at the time. Eventually we would talk on the phone, ’cause my homeboy Pleasure, from Pretty Ricky, actually hooked us up.”
“Well, I’ll say he introduced us. From there, we went on that first tour together. I was on the Holiday Jam Scream Tour. She was on it too. We ain’t never really get a chance to kick it. She’d see me and she’d just kind of brush me off, but I’d be trying to holler at her. She’d see me with all different kinds of chicks and she wasn’t really feeling that.”
At times I find it hard to see Trey Songz with an ordinary girl, it just doesn’t seem like the girl he’d go for. Now that Trey Songz and Helen are engaged I do wonder if this will have an effect or his appeal or even music!? Further more so, when is the wedding!? One way of the other both will make beautiful children! Trey Songz is currently reading his live session album with MTV Unplugged.
Omarion’s ‘Ollusion’ to be big!?

It looks like people took Omarion’s advice (to help Haiti instead of buying his album) and decided not to buy his new album. “HitsDailyDouble” reports that his ‘Ollusion’ LP will debut on the charts with a dismal tally of 18-22k next week. This places him over 70k units behind Susan Boyle’s ‘I Dreamed A Dream’ which on track to sell another 95-100k copies. ‘Ollusion’ was released on January 14th.
Well, i’m shocked! With one of the most poor and when I mean poor I mean they were running his album promotion of peanuts – with very few appearances, no new hair cut, and very very very cheap marketing for the entire project! (EMI Records you should be ashamed) – however some how this guy manages to get high sales for a debut and is expect to go a lot further by the end of next week.
I’m not going to put all my eggs in one basket and honestly say “lots” of people like him, maybe he picked a good week – with no new releases comming on the the R&B or Pop chart he’s got no where to go but up! I think Omarion has got alot of potential (for those who like his style) – but the days of “Icebox” are over and who knows if you can still dominate as a male R&B superstar…with Usher, R. Kelly and (new boy) Maxwell ready to drop their albums soon, his position could drop by a few…i mean 100s!
