Lady Gaga recording new album whilst on tour

Akon recently informed the world that Lady Gaga is recording her new album whilst on tour; she is allegedly recording songs for her new album whilst on her tour bus and some of the material is ‘crazy’, according to label boss Akon – already!? when is she going to take a break?

Akon has revealed that due to Lady Gaga‘s  never-ending workload and her Monster Ball tour, GaGa rarely has time to visit the studio so has turned to recording the LP whilst on the road instead; thus making this as yet untitled album definitely ”one for the fans” I’m sure this album would be inspired by all the location she is visiting whilst on her tour, or worst to worst the album that could kill off Lady Gaga shortly gained legacy.

“She records while she’s on the road, I’m flying out to Europe to work on some new records with her…GaGa’s just like me. She has a tour bus with a studio in it…Some of the songs I’ve heard are going to be crazy. She’s getting bigger and better,” says manager and label owner (and Gaga’s mentor so far) Akon, who is also working on a new album. He went on to say “She has producers that she works with outside of myself and they are coming up with some incredible records, but the beauty of it is she knows exactly what she wants. So it just makes it easier for me.”

Lady Gaga is readying the set list for her new LP titled “The Remix” a compilation of remix tracks and additional tracks that new made it to “The Fame” and “The Fame Monster“. I’m excited for this project, I just pray it don’t go wrong!

Rihanna, Ke$ha & Nicki Minaj on “Last Girl On Earth Tour”

Yes! The “Last Girl On Earth Tour” is going to be huge, this is one of Universal Music Group’s largest dual tours! With Rihanna taking main stage with the aid of Nicki Minaj and Ke$ha (who we haven’t heard from in a while) for an amazing 34 (and more being planned) shows. Only North American dates have been released but more world dates are being in the process of confirmation between the venues and the Universal Music Group.

With Rihanna‘s hot single “Rude Boy” still #1 on the billbaord hot 100, it makes sense for her to go on a global tour – however it’s clear that the introduction of not just one but two side acts suggests that Rihanna may have struggled to fill up arena’s during her tour! Also with her new album set for release this summer, she’s cutting this all a little too close – to push a new tour and a new album in a short time could lead to exhaustion (we all saw what happened to Lady Gaga – who if I may add, is still touring!). To be fair I think Rihanna was expecting a lot more from this project – after the huge success of her previous albums she did ship fewer on this LP (ouch!), but then we can shove some of the blame on good old L.A.Reid! – who is now focusing on Jennifer No-pez…I mean Lopez (eek!).

Either way this tour will be off the hook, I cannot wait until they release the set list – Are you ready for a long chain of shows of excessive auto-tune and leather panties - and not forgetting all backing dancers! Visit GigLocator.com for more info (more…)

Young Money Album Certified Gold

Congratulations to the Young Money family who’s début group album went Platinum this week after it’s release in December 2009. I have also come to learn that since the departure of Jay Sean (bo-ho) We Are Young Money is the first collaboration studio album from Young Money Entertainment. It was released on December 21, 2009. Featured guests are recently-signed Young Money artist Short Dawg, Lloyd, Birdman, and Gucci Mane (i see…).

Although a little surprising, as many people expected this album not to do so well – come on now, who does a label family album? – was it a desperate cry for some more money to bail Lil’ Wayne out? The album debuted at number nine on the Billboard 200, selling 143,000 in its first week. The album was met with mixed reviews from critics and did well on the Billboard chart. The next week, the album dropped down three spots to #12, selling 42,000 copies. However after continuous airplays of the group single “BedRock” and huge circulation of other tracks off the LP, the album just about managed to certify Gold! – still platinum is a far cry away, but as they say…We Are Young Money.

“Did Rihanna Use My Child For Publicity?”

“Come here, rude boy boy, Can you get it up? Come here, rude boy boy, Is you big enough? Take it, take it, Baby, baby Take it, take it.
Love me, love me” is what Rihanna seems to be telling everyone. Yes “Rude Boy” has been climbing on the charts and Rihanna’s commercial success only seems to be getting bigger and bigger (just like the you know what she’s referring to in this song!). I think it’s also safe to say she has stopped talking (and going on and on and on and on and you get the picture) about how her life has been so crazy (in relation to the Chirihanna indecent).

But a few domestic violence awareness adverts later, everything seems okay – Rihanna has also found her new love interest, Matt Kemp who plays Baseball for the LA Dodgers. However! A few months ago, Rihanna took part in a campaign to raise awareness for the plight of 7 year old Jasmine Anema who was dying of leukemia. Now, a month after the child has passed away, her mother, Karen Detrick, has accused Rihanna possibly of using her daughter’s illness for publicity. saying via Twitter “It’s been a month since Jasmine’s passing, still not even a card or text message from Rihanna – did she use child for a publicity stunt!?

Only Rihanna and her team know the real motive behind helping Anema. However, if what Detrick is saying is true, it does indeed seem inconsiderate that the Bajan has not reached out to the grieving family. Maybe Rihanna should take 5 minutes betweentalking about Chris Brown and performing in her underwear to address the issue by contacting Detrick privately.
