I hate to say it but, I think there may be a little more chemistry building between these two! So Rihanna returned to a familiar place to shoot additional scenes for her second single “What’s My Name?” The red-haired siren cozied up to her co-star Drake in downtown Manhattan during the night shoot on Wednesday, where onlookers watched the two get up close and personal outside of a bodega.
RiRi shot part of the video without Drake last month with director Philip Andelman. The Drake version of the Stargate-produced song will appear on her fifth album Loud, due November 16. She gushed about her collaborator in a previous interview with BBC Radio 1Xtra’s Max. “Drake is such a cool guy, man,” said RiRi. “He’s like one of my great friends.”
And yes TheMoMoShow.com will also be interviewing Rihanna in the coming months so be sure to submit your questions as soon as possible! Rihanna has been busy promoting her all brand new album “LOUD” – this is also Rihanna’s last album on the Island Def Jam label so it will be interesting if Rihanna will regret moving to Roc Nation after the huge success this LP is expected to get.
Wearing a floral-print dress, Rihanna whipped out her Sharpie as she signed copies of her self-titled photography book at Barnes & Noble’s 5th Avenue store in New York City today. The 144-page publication, available in trade paperback and hardcover editions, is a visual chronicle of one of the world’s most-talked-about performing artists and fashion icons.
When all else fails, reach for the controversial. This, so it seems, is an M-O aspiring singer Rihannais well versed-up in. For, despite vowing this time last year to move on from the topic of Chris Brown, The Noise spoke once again on the intimate details of their controversial relationship. This, of course, having nothing to do with the minimal buzz surrounding her new LP “Loud“, which is but a few weeks away from release.
‘God has a crazy way of working, and sometimes when stuff happens you feel like, “What did I do to deserve this?” Why was it backfiring on me?’ she says in an emotional interview in the latest issue of UK Marie Claire.‘I was very lost. I have to say I felt really confused. I hate talking about it but it was really crazy because I felt so out of touch with myself and when that happens…It’s scary because nothing you say or do feels like it’s you,’ Rihanna says through tears. ‘You just lose touch of everything that you love and everything that you (more…)
The MoMo Show had an exclusive in sight behind the scenes of the much awaited Rihanna single “Who’s That Chick“. Rihanna wants to know “Who’s That Chick” on the David Guetta-produced club joint off her fifth album Loud (due Nov. 16). So we had a special word with Rihanna herself who told us all about the new track and what this opportunity means for her and most importantly her fans! Of course we were all shocked that “Who’s That Chick” will not make the UK edition of the new album Loud.
The track has already had huge plays in clubs and of course David Guetta‘s tour – I was personally very excited about the track when it was sent to me by Island Def Jam officials! The disco-tinged jam, which is featured in the Doritos Late Night campaign, blurps and bleeps with strobing synthesizers accented by the pop diva’s spunky ‘tude. “Baby I just wanna dance/ I don’t really care,” she muses. Get down to the funky sounds above and check out our fill interview thanks to Doritos! (more…)
Rihanna is throwing up the Roc. The pop superstar has parted ways with her longtime manager and has signed a management deal with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation.
“[I'm] so excited to take this next step in my career,” Rihanna told The Associated Press in a statement Wednesday. She had previously been managed by Marc Jordan of Rebel One Management, who was with her from the start of her career.
Plans are underway to launch a new company called Rihanna Entertainment that will “merge all of her businesses, including music, film, fragrance, fashion, and book ventures.”
Jay-Z signed Rihanna to Def Jam in 2005 and collaborated with her on “Umbrella” as well as his 2009 hit “Run This Town.” She will release her fifth album Loud on November 16.
And if you ask me, BIG MISTAKE!!! If Rihanna leaves Island Def Jam she’d loser all her clever formulated career moves, under Roc Nation not only would she leaved her tailored marketing team but also the Rihanna look! Roc Nation clearly wouldn’t be able to work with pop…look at the Sugababes! (more…)
Pretty much the whole world is excited about the third single off the Rihanna “Loud” album, Rihanna was bright and bubbly in the day version of her previously leaked video for “Who’s That Chick,” but she heads to the dark side in the night version of the clip, part of the Doritos Late Night campaign. Dressed in black stockings and a tight dress, the red-haired songstress sits on a throne as bats fly out from behind her, dancing with backup dancers as scorpions and bugs crawl across the room. Guess every good girl has a bad side.
Rihanna’s “Who’s That Chick?”, a David Guetta collaboration recorded for Doritos, have twomusic videos and they have been made into one clip and available for viewing pleasure. One called a day version features her wearing colorful dress, and the other dubbed a night version sees her applying darker make-up and outfit. Both have the same party vibes with her romping around a room with several companions.
“I’m really excited about ‘Who’s That Chick?’ and wanted to find a fresh and unique way to share it with my fans,” she said. “When I saw how cool the augmented reality performance Doritos created was, I knew this was it. This was the way I wanted to make ‘Who’s That Chick?‘ available to the world, and I can’t wait to see how my fans get engaged in this innovative experience.” (more…)
With their rumored romantic relationship splashed all over gossip blogs (of course those rumours never started here, just kidding!), Rihanna and Drake forget about the past on the island-flavored “What’s My Name,” the second single off her fifth album Loud (due Nov. 16). The two get playful on wax, with Drizzy heating things up with some lady-loving rhymes and RiRi laying down the qualifications to be her man.
“Yeah, I heard you good with them soft lips/ Yeah you know word of mouth,” raps Drake. “Baby you’re a challenge/ Let’s explore your talents,” responds Rihanna.
“Drake is such a cool guy, man. He’s like one of my great friends,” RiRi told us in a recent interview. – Aw! Now that is real sweet Rihanna! Rihanna filmed a video for the solo version of the Stargate-produced, Ester Dean-penned tune in New York City with director Philip Andelman. “I hope we get to shoot a video for that too,” Drake told us, “I’m really excited about that song.” Listen to the song here
A red Rihanna finally pushed out her “Only Girl (In The World)“, and a little earlier than expected. “Only Girl (In The World)” will be the lead single off her “LOUD” album which is set to hit stores in November. But like all things these days, Rihanna’s new video for “Only Girl (In the World)” has made its way online hours before its official MTV premiere. The red-headed siren stars alone in the Anthony Mandler-directed clip for the first single from her fifth album Loud, frolicking through the hills, mountains, and fields of flowers - how relevant.
Without about this music is a great piece of artist direction, and with the video being shot on possibly the most tightest budget till date with any Island Def Jam – Rihanna project, she’s managed to do pretty amazing. In many ways this has given us a little taster of what is going to be an amazing album “LOUD“. Like many people who are thinking the same…exactly what did that video have to do with the song? Yes by being the only person featured in the video it’s obvious that Rihanna was meant to represent the “Only Girl (In the world)” but that was the only facet of the clip that made sense.
This entire production consisted of glamour shots of Rihanna prancing around in a field like the goat that she often imitates. Still, I did enjoy the pretty fireworks at the end and found my self on the edge of my seat genuinely concerned that her flaming red hair would truly catch on fire. Having enjoyed her videos for ‘Russian Roulette’, ‘Hard’ & ‘Rude Boy’, I was not impressed by this silly clip at all. No gold star for you Rihanna. I hope you enjoy Rihanna’s “Only Sheep (In The Meadow)” “Only Girl (In The World)“. I’M ONLY JOKING!!! We all love Rihanna! – Don’t we…? (more…)
If you think the world hasn’t got crazy already, well you’ll be in for yet another Red yet Pink surprise! Two of the baddest chicks bitches! in the game may be making more noise with another collaboration. Rihanna has revealed that she and Nick Minaj are cooking something up for the hip-hop vixen’s Pink Friday debut.
It was previously noted that the femme fatales had worked on a track called “Raining Men” for RiRi’s fifth album Loud, but the two might have something else up their sleeves. “Nicki Minaj, we did a song together called “Raining Men” and we might be working on her album together also,” the Bajan babe tells London’s 95.8 Capital FM.
She also shares what her boyfriend Matt Kemp thinks of the “fearless, bold, and expressive” Loud. “For the most part, he actually loves everything on the album but “Who’s That Chick“ he doesn’t really like that one,” she laughs. “I guess it’s too lightweight pop for him.”
However, the L.A. Dodger is a fan of the LP’s slower cuts. “He really likes the ballads on the album. Those are his favorite ones.”
Most of the tracks are uptempo except for two powerful ballads called “Scared of Beautiful” and her personal favorite “California King (Bed),” which she predicts will be the biggest song off the project. Rihanna hopes to go on tour again next year and is already thinking about a repackaging of Loud. – So brace yourselves for yet another Rihanna tour! It was also rumoured that Rihanna is working on her début fragrance to go alongside the Loud album – how original! (more…)

The pop star played personal stylist to five girls, who won a competition to meet the singer and have her style them at Topshop Oxford Circus in London, this week. Looks like RiRi is dying for some UK love, when after her label Island Def Jam where shocked to see the poor sales of Rihanna’s “Rated R” in the UK despite the the X-Factor performance of “Russian Roulette“. The album is set to open at number one on the billbaord hot 100 and has already certified Gold in album pre-orders alone! “Only Girl (In The World)” according to some Rihanna fans is set to be RiRi’s 8th number one single. “I just did this great song with Rihanna so I hope we get to shoot a video for that too,” he revealed to one of our sources backstage at his Miami tour kick-off this week. “I’m really excited about that song.”
Drake had reportedly written for Rihanna in the past, but the material did not make her album. He was careful not to give away too much about their latest collabo, which will likely appear on Rihanna’s new album “Loud“, due November 16. “I don’t know if I’m supposed to talk about that actually.”
The young stars were rumored to have dated in the past, but their brief relationship left Drizzy brokenhearted. “I was a pawn,” he told us. “You know what she was doing to me? She was doing exactly what I’ve done to so many women throughout my life, which is show them quality time, then disappear. I was like, ‘Wow, (more…)
