Dec 18th
Get your Money up for the new year. Young Money all-stars Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj will cap off a successful 2010 by performing on NBC’s “NBC’s New Year’s Eve with Carson Daly.” The dynamic duo, along with rock band My Chemical Romance, will take over Times Square in New York City in a pre-taped piece, airing December 31 at 10 p.m.
“With performances from Lil Wayne, Nicki Minaj, and My Chemical Romance, this will truly be an energetic and celebratory night,” stated Daly. The Harajuku Barbie will perform selections from her debut album Pink Friday, while Lil Wayne closes out the year with his own hits. Weezy will also appear alongside Eminem on this weekend’s “Saturday Night Live,” performing their collaboration “No Love.”.
In other news Lil’ Kim appeared on Angie Martinez’s Hot 97 show today to discuss her ongoing beef with Nicki Minaj. Among the highlights, the Queen Bee said she would be open to working with Nicki Minaj. “I would do a song with her for the right price,” she told Angie. The amount? $7 million. As for the feud ending anytime soon, Kim declared, “I’m not taking my foot off her neck.” Plus Kim reveals a near collaboration with Biggie’s widow Faith Evans, what she thinks of Diddy(“I’m sick of him not being loyal to one person”), and when fans can expect new music. Drake’s “Take Care” will walk all over “Thank Me Later”
Dec 1st
Seems like Drake is taking the same approach to “Take Care” like he did with “Thank Me Later“. Drake who is currently touring and expected to hit the UK during February is recording his second album titled “Take Care” which is expected to hit stores April 2011.
Close sources to the Young Money rapper told us he is currently working with an underground producer called 9th Wonder and was photographed leaving a studio from where DJ Premier works in New York. Whilst industry press are still confused with the single line up of “Thank Me Later“, huge radio hits such as “Fancy“, “Shut It Down” and “Show Me A Good Time” never see the light of day for the singles shelf.
Yet again this just simply highlights the repeat mistakes that Young Money make when it comes down to the whole album launch and single line up - may I add the video for “Fancy” which featured T.I. and Swizz Beats was shot and ready to be sent to MTV when officials at the label decided to withdraw the entire single from commercial circulation.
From what out sources say, “Take Care” will walk all over “Thank Me Later“, with Universal Motown now more involved in the entire process of album (and Lil Wayne, who couldn’t take care of the business strategy as he was in prison) this LP may just push Drake even further in his already outstanding career. Drake celebrates tour finale Vegas style!
Nov 9th
Drake toasted the last stop on his “Light Dreams & Nightmares Tour” by hosting an after-party at Tryst nightclub inside Wynn Las Vegas in the early hours of Sunday. After capping off his nationwide trek with a surprise appearance from Lil Wayne, Drizzy popped bottles and held court with his friend Jas Prince, who he gifted with a Lamborghini last month.
“I’ve never witnessed something so crazy as the crowd response to drake at tryst,” wrote Playboy Playmate Laura Croft. “Girls Next Door” star Holly Madison concurred, “Never seen anything like it.”
After celebrating Weezy’s homecoming in Miami, Drake will head home to Toronto to work on his second album and R&B mixtape It’s Never Enough.
In other news with Drake concerts in Europe tickets pretty much going crazy and almost a confirmed sell out, Universal Motown has hinted that this wont be the last time for a while we won’t be seeing Drake, of course with the new mixtape on the way – we can confirm that a new album is currently being developed and according to some sources that there are several tracks ready which are LP material.
Keep it locked for an exclusive Drake give away and we may have some tour tickets to give away for those Drake and J. Cole fans – keep it locked on themomoshow.com Read the rest of this entry »
Drake kicks off tour at Miami as crowd lights up!
Sep 24th
Drake turned up the Miami heat when he kicked off his “Light Dreams and Nightmares” tour at the James L. Knight Center on Monday night . Drizzy upped the ante for his headlining trek in support of his debut album Thank Me Later, adding more lights, background singers, and additional time on stage. His Young Money labelmate Tyga replaced Clipse as the opening act and Birdman helped hold it down for Lil Wayne.
“This is my first time ever being able to create a world,” Drake told MTV News of his new stage setup. “Prior to this, I’ve had to create my world through performance. You literally have to get lost in the music to make you feel like you were somewhere else.”
The night before the opening show, Drake was seen celebrating his father’s birthday at upscale Asian eatery Philippe. The “Light Dreams and Nightmares” tour travels across the country, stopping in New York, Atlanta, and Los Angeles, wrapping Nov. 6 in Las Vegas, the day after Weezy is expected to be released from jail. As we speak, developments on Drake‘s world tour are in the final stages and we could see tickets for his UK tour hit the shelves as soon as a this year. Alongside that Drake has also dropped a few hints now and again that his second album which is as yet untitled is almost finished…so I’ll guess we’ll all have to wait! Read the rest of this entry »

Nicki Minaj “Your Love”
Jul 21st
That’s right, the much awaited video to Nicki Minaj‘s single “Your Love” has dropped! Although “Your Love” was never intended to be released by the Young Money Group, however leaks on Youtube lead Nicki Minaj to garner her first solo #1 on the Billboard Rap 100 which made her the first solo female rapper to top the Rap Chart in 8 years!.
The video works well with the track, yet (dare I say it!) this is another recession friendly video – hey maybe that all the rage in the US at the moment! While seemingly low budget, the clip captured the essence of the song well without going the typical route that most Hip-Hop acts would have taken – clubs, stripper poles and money raining from the sky (no names need to be mentioned). Nicki Minaj looks remarkably “health” (and by that, maybe the budget was spend on making her face so god dam flawless!) in the video, and yes, she’s got a new set of weave!
“Your Love” has already climbed to #18 on the US Billboard hot 100, it’s release is expected in Europe this weekend titled “Your Love The EP”. Unlike “Massive Attack“, it’s nice to see Nicki Minaj do something toned down, however for many critics this video has confused them about what to expect from Nicki Minaj‘s album which is due to drop this November. Either way the track will do well, and at times the video does remind me of Beyonce’s “Check On It” – maybe they used the same silk sheets? Remember The MoMo Show is set to interview Nicki Minaj this August – so keep it locked for chances to win a meet and great with the first lady of Young Money! Read the rest of this entry »
Nicki Minaj: “I speak to Wayne, he’s in great spirits…”
Jul 13th
Current holder of #1 on the Billboard Rap chart Nicki Minaj has shared her thoughts on what her boss Lil Wayne will do when he completes his one-year jail sentence.
She told us ”I speak to Wayne, he’s in great spirits. He’s hilarious, always making me laugh whenever I talk to him. He’s his same self it seems to me, just even more business-minded. I speak to him often.”
Nicki Minaj‘s new album is set to drop this year, and with a lot of hype around the Young Money group and suggested family tour – it all comes down to Lil Wayne‘s new material which should hit shelves as soon as he’s out!
“I know when he comes out, it’s gonna be a problem, ’cause he’s one of those people that needs to get out his thoughts. So I would imagine he would probably be in the studio for 60 days straight. He’ll probably do three albums the day he comes home.” – Although I question the realism behind that statement Nicki Minaj, there is doubt that Lil Wayne will have a much extended creative streak!

Drake to upgrade to an Arena tour!
Jun 1st
Drake has managed to sell out his small theatre tour; now due to high demand Motown Records officials have decided along side Cash Money Records to begin a world size Arena Tour in late 2010 or early 2011. Drake is currently adding finishing touches to his album which is yet to be released; Drake spoke about being on tour “It’s been good, I really enjoy being on the road and connecting with the fans, that’s the most important thing”. With Drake set to take over radio during his summer it’s make a lot of sense to go on a larger tour with larger production budget.
Also Cash Money sources also hinted today that the tour could be a Label tour; meaning all acts under the Cash Money label could be a one huge world tour! (which is bound to sell out!). This would give acts such as Nicki Minaj, Tyga and Lil Wanye the chance to put on a show that has never been done before. With the Cash Money label even more diverse with R&B/Soul singer Lloyd and Pop singer Jay Sean (who will be probably pulled on this tour) the show should attract a lot of interest. Drake is now ranked #2 on Island Record’s Cash Money’s best selling artists after Lil Wanye – which ranks Drake 2010′s (years active) most successful rapper under the Island Def Jam/Motown umbrella. Both of Drake‘s singles “Over” and “Find Your Love” are climbing up the Billboard R&B/HipHop charts with “Over” peaking at #2 this week Read the rest of this entry »
Looks Who’s Back!
Oct 13th

London’s very own international superstar in the making, has not only been hitting the gym, but the billboard charts! Recent single “Down” featuring record label manager Lil Wayne peaked at number 1 on the billboard’s hot 100 (taking over the Black Eyed Peas). Jay Sean’s return to music in 2008 was a lot different from his previous ethnic focused album “Me Against myself” which was home to UK hits such as “Eyes on you”, “Stolen” and “Dance With You”.
Medical college drop out, wanted to push his career towards the R&B stage, something he states he has wanted to do for along time. His recent deal with Cash Money Records allowed him to not only push him vocally but opened a new window of opportunities for the 28 year old. Jay Sean being criticized for his attempts of trying to mirror image Justin Timberlake’s album “futuresex / lovesounds” has been working on the album the late his new album from 2008, titled “All or Nothing”.
The album has collabourtions with the likes of the Sugababes, Livvi Frank, Sean Paul, Kevin Rudolf, Drake, Lil Wayne and Birdman. So for the first time in ages I’m looking forward to a Jay Sean album. The album is planned to be released during late November so the wait will not be that long for those who are dieing to see what raw British talent can do over seas! (no I’m not talking about Leona!). So expect “All or Nothing” to be what it states…all or nothing!
Confirmed Tracks
“All or Nothing”, ”Down” (featuring Lil Wayne), ”Do You Remember” (featuring Sean Paul and Lil Jon), ”If I Ain’t Got You” (featuring Drake), ”War”, ”Far Away” (featuring Keisha Buchanan) and ”Untitled” (featuring Birdman and Kevin Rudolf)
