Rihanna rocks NBA half-time show!

Rihanna was one of the many superstar acts who in the audience at the NBA All-Star Game last evening. Other notable names at the event included Beyonce, Jay-Z, Drake, Keri Hilson and Kanye West. Birthday girl Rihanna, who turned 23, provided the halftime entertainment at Sunday’s NBA All-Star Game at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Sources close to Interscope Records confirmed today that “Lose Control” featuring Nelly, will be the second single lifted from Keri Hilson‘s new album “No Boys Allowed“. After a disappointing opening on the Billboard Hot 200 and with the first single “Pretty Girl Rock” under performing and failed to reach radio, Keri Hilson and her label have pushed forward the only ”Dance” record off the album. Keri Hilson to Detox for Dr. Dre

Keri Hilson gave 100 of her hometown fans a sneak peek of her sophomore album No Boys Allowed by playing tracks during Hot 107.9’s “Very Keri Christmas” listening party at Atlanta’s Harlem Nights Ultra Lounge last night. In addition to hearing music ahead of its release next week, Miss Keri showed the crowd how to do the “Pretty Girl Rock” and explained the inspiration behind each song.
Dr. Dre is getting a dose of Keri Hilson for Detox. The “Pretty Girl Rock” singer paid a visit to the Doctor to contribute to his long-awaited project. Miss Keri shares what it was like to be in the studio with the hip-hop icon.
“Dr Dre is incredible,” she exclusively tells us. “He’s somebody I always kind of thought, ‘Wow, I wonder what his method is. I wonder what it’s like to be in the room while he does what he does,’ and I got to see it.”
Keri saw herself in her legendary labelmate. “He’s very much a perfectionist and it kinda made me understand myself a little bit, why I’m so particular about certain things,” she reveals. “I saw myself in his light and it was great.”
While she confirms her work on Detox, she’s uncertain if the material will make the 2011 album’s final cut. “I don’t know. We’ll see.” The first offering from Detox, the Snoop Dogg and Akon-assisted “Kush,” is currently No. 52 on the Billboard Hot 100, while Keri’s sophomore set No Boys Allowed drops Tuesday. Keri Hilson does the “Pretty Girl Rock”

Keri Hilson has released a new video for her track “Pretty Girl Rock,” the first single from her upcoming album No Boys Allowed. The video was directed by Joseph Kahn (Janet Jackson, Black Eyed Peas), and features Hilson portraying an array of historic black women. She takes on the roles of Josephine Baker, Dorothy Dandridge, Diana Ross as a member of the Supremes, Janet Jackson, and T-Boz of TLC.
Hilson also made headlines this week with the release of her new single “The Way You Love Me” featuring Rick Ross. The Polow Da Don-produced track follows “Breaking Point,” which was released in September. No Boys Allowed is slated for a December 21 release.
Hilson will support the new album with an appearance at the upcoming 84th Annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York City. The event will air live on NBC starting at 9 AM on Thanksgiving Day. Kanye West, the Roots and India.Arie are also scheduled to perform. I mean this album going to be a winner and really fitting for Keri’s voice! Well done! cannot wait to hear the whole album!
John Legend has eyes set for duet with Keri Hilson

You herd right guys! John Legend is putting pen to paper for a fellow songwriter. The Grammy winner has written a song for Keri Hilson’s sophomore album No Boys Allowed.
“I got a song on Keri Hilson’s next album that I love,” Legend exclusively tells our sources. “I think it’s gonna be a big hit song.”
The pair’s collaboration is called “All the Boys” and was produced by Fugees affiliate Jerry “Wonda” Duplessis. “It’s reminiscent of past love,” adds the R&B crooner, who’s currently promoting his covers album Wake Up!
Hilson has worked with Polow Da Don, Timbaland, Rick Ross, Boi-1da, Chuck Harmony, Ne-Yo, and more on the follow-up to 2009’s In a Perfect World… The Joseph Kahn-directed video for “Pretty Girl Rock” will premiere this month, while No Boys Allowed is due December 21.
Not only that but Keri Hilson has been rumoured to be recording lead vocals for the John Legend collaboration for both of their new albums – I mean this could prove genius. Keep it locked folks! Two amazing singers like this could lead to yet another paired #1 for Miss Keri Baby, fingers crossed the new project develops well and doesn’t disappoint.
Drake and Trey Songz at their “So Kodak” launch

Last night, Kodak celebrated the launch of its “So Kodak” campaign with a star-studded concert at New York City’s Best Buy Theater. The show, which attracted the likes of Keri Hilson, Busta Rhymes, Chrisette Michele, Shontelle, and DJ Khaled, boasted a double-bill performance from Drake and Trey Songz, who treated the invite-only crowd to short-yet-sweaty sets.
Trey Songz was first to grace the stage, backed by a full band who helped bring his sensual songs to life. Dressed in all-black-everything, Mr. Songz Yuuup looked sharp in a slim-fitting suit, unraveling his bow tie for the crowd-pleasing “Say Aah.”
He teased the ladies by removing his jacket for “Can’t Be Friends,” cozying up to the mic stand to perform “Love Faces” and “Bottoms Up” off his recently released fourth album Passion, Pain & Pleasure.
“‘So Kodak’ is the launch of something very special,” Trey told us before the show. “The line is around the block. I actually rode around like two times to look at the people without them seeing me. I’m excited about so many fans being here tonight.”
Hot 97’s DJ Enuff presented Drake’s “So Kodak” commercial before the rapper took the stage, with Drizzy explaining his love for the Kodak EasyShare M590 digital camera. T.I. pushes back “King Uncaged” to push forward “Takers”

Rap star T.I. has announced that his upcoming album, “King Uncaged” will now come out next month. According to the rapper he has just really focused on promoting his new movie, “Takers“. He told us: “I pushed the album back so I can completely focus my attention to the rollout and release of this film “Takers“. I feel it wouldn’t be fair to the film or the album if I was splitting my attention span amongst the two, so I hit pause on the album to completely focus my attention to rolling out this here film.
“Once we prayerfully debut No. 1-25-plus, 20-plus million, then after those bottles have been popped and that celebration is underway, I will completely re-submerge myself back into the music, fully on album mode.” In other T.I. news, the rapper made an epic comeback in a concert that was held in New York earlier this week and he was joined onstage by the likes of Mary J. Blige, Swizz Beatz and B.o.B. R&B singer Keri Hilson and rappers Cam’ron and Maino also made appearances.
After the show Tip took to his Twitter page and posted: “Special thank you to Axe for providing a magical night for my 1st concert back!! SO (shout out) to my partners for holding me down tonight- Mjb, Keri, Cam, MAino, Ricco, Swizz, B.” – In all fairness, not 100% shocked that the album was pushed back…really come on now this is T.I. we are dealing with here.
