Kanye West invited back to the VMAs

“Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time…of all time!” - Despite his headline-grabbing appearance at last year’s show, MTV has invited Kanye West back to perform at this year’s Video Music Awards.
All eyes will be on Mr. West when he takes the stage at the 27th annual show – just make sure you brace yourselves – it may be Justin Bieber this time round.
Kanye had everyone talking after he interrupted Taylor Swift during her acceptance speech at last year’s event. He was reportedly asked by MTV to leave the show following the spectacle. But the hoopla is bound to attract viewers who will be tuning in to see whether Kanye has any more surprises up his sleeve.
The VMA gig is only one of many things Kanye has planned for this year. “More music … I’m bout to drop a bunch of shit this year.. surprise performances.. guest verses… living in the studio,” tweeted the rapper, whose fifth album is set for a November release.
Maybe we should give Kanye West the benefit of the doubt – after all he did announced he was a changed man? – right? But if you’re asking me MTV is so just doing this so they boost up the views, and a VMA will never be a VMA without Kanye West!

M.I.A talks new album and “Nicki Minaj runs Hip-Hop”

M.I.A. will be the first to tell you if she doesn’t like someone, just ask Lady Gaga or Justin Bieber. But luckily for Nicki Minaj, the outspoken artist has nothing but respect and admiration for her.
The omnipresent Minaj guests on the remix to M.I.A.’s ”/\/\/\Y/\” album cut “Teqkilla“ rapping, “Yo Maya, your shit is on fire.”
M.I.A. returned the compliment to her collaborator in an interview on 102.7 KIIS-FM’s “New Music Show.” “Nicki Minaj runs hip-hop,” she told DJ Skee of the Harajuku Barbie, whose debut album is due November 23.
She also shared why she thinks there’s so much buzz surrounding the Young Money femcee. “She works hard and that’s what it is. She’s focused and that’s good,” she explained. “It’s been a while since a female rapper has come up with that much… She’s got a really good work ethic, and I get her.”
M.I.A.’s ”/\/\/\Y/\ is out now! And has already shifted 300,000 units of the oddly-structured titled album, this could mean M.I.A is on her way to getting a Gold certified album! Read the rest of this entry »
Justin Bieber “Somebody To Love (Remix)” ft. Usher

So finally Justin Bieber aged up and finally silenced his critics with his new single featuring Usher “Somebody To Love”. Although this video has gone down the Usher/Justin Timberlake route, it’s one where Justin Bieber will be visiting often. What can I say, pretty much a standard Pop R&B video (notice the talcum powder being used and oh! is that Bieber’s hair being blown back by fans!? Divo!). “Somebody to love” who was originally written by Trey Songz without a doubt shows off Usher’s vocals more than Justin Bieber’s; I wouldn’t be too surprised if I found this track on one of Usher’s LPs!
I’m beginning to wonder too see how much more these guys sitting in Def Jam can do with Justin Bieber! Needless to say that time will catch up with this kid, and he no where near the bagfuls of talent like stars did when they were his age. Despite the whole Justin Bieber craze going on right now, it will only take a Lady Gaga album for all the attention to be sucked away from him! In other news; Bieber’s new “pedo” girlfriend Kim Kardashian is still receiving death threats from Justin Bieber fans; one tweet reading “I love u too sweetie pie RT @lillly_roose @KimKardashian Bitch leave Justin Biber. Justin Bieber forced to keep virginity away from Kim Kardashian

Yes, 16 year-old Justin Bieber has had increasing pressure from his management to stay as far away as possible from rumoured girlfriend Kim Kardashian.
The “Baby” singer’s friendship with Kardashian is causing panic in Camp Bieber after the youngster has already referred to the former Playboy model as his girlfriend on Twitter, leading Kim to receive death threats from avid Bieber fans (oh my!). Firstly isn’t this a case for paedophilia? Justin Bieber only 16 and Kim “Kardo” is about 29! – is that even legal!?
Justin Bieber who was photographed with the Playboy (ew!) model in the Bahamas has caused even more frustration with the “One Time” fans!
Inside sources told us “Justin could lose everything if he hooks up with Kim. His fans hate her and the thought of Kim taking Justin’s virginity has everyone very worried.” They added: “She is one of the most beautiful women on the planet and has moves that would drive the poor innocent kid out of his mind,”. – In his own right, Justin Bieber has built this very teen friendly image which is very rare to find in an industy where everyone will take their closes off!
Kardashian has also posted a pictured on her official Twitter page of her messing up Bieber’s famous locks, tweeting: “My dream! I messed up @justinbieber’s hair.” Kim obviously has a death wish from Justin’s fans as she teased them with pictures of their trip to the Bahamas, receiving a rather negative response from his followers. Sean Kingston & Justin Bieber “Eenie Meenie”

Without a doubt this is a typical Justin Bieber/Sean Kingston video – pretty much a lost story line and different camera shots in different locations; however must say still find it hard to believe that Sean Kingston is trying to use the success and appeal of Justin Bieber to sell a poorly produced track. It’s clear right from the beginning that Justin Bieber out sings Sean Kingston at so many points in the song – further more this song just highlights and shows how desperate Sean Kingston is to try and get backing into the music scene.
However (oddly – I kept telling myself I would never fall for this kid) Justin Bieber has yet again proved his good vocals (which may only last another year) and his limited diversification. I do see this single doing well however I wouldn’t hold my breath for this; in other news Justin Bieber is currently developing ideas for his up coming world tour and as for Sean Kingston he’s still trying to climb to the top (which he will never get to…get over yourself; no one gets excited for you these days!).
Usher says “No!” to Diddy on Justin Bieber!

Okay so there is fresh beef surrounding “Baby” singer Justin Bieber. Mentor and talent spotter Usher has claimed he will not be giving any of P.Diddy’s advice onto the young teen sensation who took over radio waves back in July 2009.
Usher who was mentored by P.Diddy (known then as Puff Daddy) told him that “Sex, Drugs and Alcohol would not work” for Justin Bieber image; Of course it wouldn’t, this kid is like what 7!? – I joke! He’s 16! Usher old us “I had Puff as my mentor, but I wouldn’t pass on any of the advice he gave me,” He laughed. “Hip-hop, sex, drugs and alcohol wouldn’t really work for Justin’s image. He’s headed in the right direction. I’ve told him to do everything I wouldn’t do.”. Currently Justin Bieber is ranked 5 of the best selling artists of the Island Def Jam group (averaged through digital sales and airplay).
I think Justin Bieber is just fine the way he is; if we all look back to 2006-9 where P.Diddy caused the failure of Bad Boy Entertainment and losing all three bands he made from his reality MTV series “Make The Band”; therefore I’m sure Puff is the last guy I’ll look to. Yet I still wonder when Usher says “He has this amazing talent. He has the voice, the personality, he has so many God-given talents. As he begins to open up and go out of his comfort zone in music, he’s going to get even greater.” – I honestly cannot see Justin Bieber progressing at all. No offence but i’m already tired of him! In other Bieber news (for all you Bieber fans!) sources has claimed that Justin Bieber wan’t the body to match the pop star he is (oh god!), apparently he is hiring Twilight hunk, Taylor Lautner’s personal trainer in a bid to bulk up. A spokes person said ”Justin’s positive he has the intensity and focus to get the same results as Taylor.” They added: “He’s already a megastar at 16 – now he wants the physique to go with it. He wants ripped abs, bulging biceps, and cut thighs.”. Okay…wait for it…”LOL!” At times I do wonder about this kid…i’m sure the new body and the advice off P.Diddy will really shift CDs!
Snoop Dogg: “Justin Bieber Is Cool”

Everyone knows about Justin Bieber’s sudden raise to success, with help of his founder and project manager Usher. With all the hype around the kid, to add to the every growing media attention, Snoop Dogg has revealed that he thinks Justin Bieber is ‘cool’. A source told us that the rapper is going head-to-head with Bieber in this week’s Billboard Abum chart and Snoop has said he has ‘no problem’ battling with the 16-year old.
Bieber has released his second album “My World 2.0” whilst Snoop is hoping to hit the top spot with his 11th studio LP More Malice. Talking about the competition, Snoop said: “I don’t have no problem with that. That’s what the industry was made on.”
Snoop continued: “I wish him luck and success, hopefully his record will do what it’s supposed to do.”. Bieber has been promoting his new album like a madman, and has high hopes for new US single “U Smile”. The Baby singer said of his latest efforts: “The song is amazing. We really love the song, so we decided to cut it. It’s really amazing.”
With all fairness, it’s time (yes, even me!) to stop in one way or another “hating” on “JB”. It’s clear that Justin Bieber has got a strong team working behind him, with songs being written by hit makers Ne-yo and The Dream we can finally see that the Island Def Jam music group has finally got a successful project for 2010 – but that’s at a huge cost! (isn’t that right Mariah and Rihanna!? – well at least the kid can sing)
“OMG” Usher!

With Usher making his new come back to the music industry ( and his ex-wife), he’s is set to release his sixth studio album ‘Raymond vs Raymond’ on March 29th!
While a number of songs have been rolled out thus far – some billed as ‘traditional singles’ and others ‘buzz’ singles, we have received word from the the singer’s label confirming that ‘OMG’ will serve as ‘Raymond vs Raymond’s’ first International release. (yay! thank god it’s not “Papers”, that died out like VHS!). The 30 year old Usher, echoed the news on Twitter a few hours ago, announcing that he is shooting the video with Black Eyed Peas front-man will.i.am – who produced and features on the song.
Of course I’m excited for this entire release, however – with the entire Billboard charts edging into this European Dance music vide, R&B is going to struggle and that means R&B artists will need to drop the hardcore R&B beats for their tracks to become slightly Air Play friendly. With Usher the brand being continuously strong and till this date Usher has never a commercial failure during his music career. Although, after receiving a few samples of the new album i’m confident that the singles lined will chart, however with Ke$sha, Rihanna and Justin Bieber pushing their new music around his release date could see some problems for the new single “OMG” to listen Read the rest of this entry »
Okay…it’s Justin Bieber!

So while everyone is jumping on this kid like crazy (and i mean CRAZY!), lets take a few minutes to remind ourselves who this Justin kid is!
He was discovered on YouTube by Scooter Braun, who later became his manager. Braun flew Bieber to Atlanta, to consult with Usher and soon signed a record deal with Island Records, where he began his professional career. His first album “My World” didn’t preform well on the Billboard charts in the first three opening weeks, however later on the album was certified platinum (oh goodie!).
I’m not going to say i’m hating on this kid! but being 15 and singing some of these songs i’m slightly disturbed! Although Bieber’s main target audience are young teenagers, that doesn’t stop Island Records from putting Usher, Drake and Ludacris (oh my!). But for his fan’s MoMo has confirmed there will be a world tour, and more details will be released by the Island Def Jam Music Group
