JLS new album details

MoMo’s exclusive sources from Sony Music has informed us that Jive Records after their intense arena tour JLS will be then pushed to release a new album for late 2010 or even in the first quarter of 2011 (oh…joy!). In fairness it would be nice to see what major pop label Jive do to these boys, everyone knows that UK acts have always struggled in US markets  (Jay Sean dropped from Cash Money, Alexandra Burke‘s shelved from shipping to the states), although there is a gap in the market for the boys it’s essential that JLS work on what type of boy band they want to be.

Needless to day JLS‘s début album was pretty much 13 tracks of mid-tempo same old pop crossover R&B. If there is one thing is for sure they guys will not be transferred to legends like Boys II MenJagged Edge or Dru Hill – however the vocal potential is there however I’m still trying to get my head around why JLS has been restricted to use there vocal talents in any of there singles. With new album under development and edging toward production from June; huge producers such as Darkchild (who’s worked with the likes of Mariah Carey, Destiny’s Child, Britney Spears, J Holiday, Janet Jackson and Lady Gaga) have been called in to work on the album along side boyband superstar Justin Timberlake.

We are currently waiting for a further release date, and possible track list; it’s been official that JLS will be covering a huge soul ballad. For more info keep it MoMo.

Mariah Carey and Janet Jackson to star in a Movie together!

With Mariah Carey‘s latest LP officially shelved and Janet Jackson‘s Greatest Hits album not moving off the shelve, it makes senses for the two diva to sit down and make a film together right!? – is this what the music industry come to!? When the going gets tough for these legends, lets all take a break and go into film – I can only imagine what Whitney has got planned for her movie!

After the success of Mariah’s latest effort (and no it’s not “Glitter”) in low budget yet high achieving ”Precious” maybe this is a new found career for her!? And maybe Janet needs to take it easy (remember guys age is a huge and important factor!).

A source told us that writer/director/producer Tyler Perry has selected the cast for next film, ”For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow is Enuf.‘

At last night’s premiere for his latest film, ‘‘Why Did I Get Married Too?,’ Tyler Perry revealed that the cast will include Janet Jackson, Mariah Carey, Whoopi Goldberg, Phylicia Rashad, Jurnee Smollett, Kimberly Elise, Kerry Washington, Loretta Devine and Macy Gray (wow what a line up!). More details on the film will become available in the comming weeks.

But this is great for both Mariah and Janet who’s album sales are not doing too well – well deserved break ladies! and good luck! Try and follow Tyler Perry on Twitter for more info!
