That’s right, It seems like everyone is pushing out a video of some sort, but yes J.Cole just in time for valentines day will be releasing the video “In The Morning“, however the radio edit will NOT include Drake! The video was shot in Paris during their tour earlier this month, sources told us (more…)

Nicki Minaj continued her European takeover, jetting from London to Paris for the next stop of her international Pink Friday promo tour. Arriving at Paris Gare du Nord terminal yesterday, the blonde bombshell caused commotion as she waltzed through the train station, looking fresh in a red coat and gray pants tucked into knee-high boots. She changed into black leggings with metallic gold heels for her appearance on French talk show “Le Grand Journal” and aninterview on Skyrock FM. (more…)

Seems like Drake is taking the same approach to “Take Care” like he did with “Thank Me Later“. Drake who is currently touring and expected to hit the UK during February is recording his second album titled “Take Care” which is expected to hit stores April 2011.
Close sources to the Young Money rapper told us he is currently working with an underground producer called 9th Wonder and was photographed leaving a studio from where DJ Premier works in New York. Whilst industry press are still confused with the single line up of “Thank Me Later“, huge radio hits such as “Fancy“, “Shut It Down” and “Show Me A Good Time” never see the light of day for the singles shelf.
Yet again this just simply highlights the repeat mistakes that Young Money make when it comes down to the whole album launch and single line up - may I add the video for “Fancy” which featured T.I. and Swizz Beats was shot and ready to be sent to MTV when officials at the label decided to withdraw the entire single from commercial circulation.
From what out sources say, “Take Care” will walk all over “Thank Me Later“, with Universal Motown now more involved in the entire process of album (and Lil Wayne, who couldn’t take care of the business strategy as he was in prison) this LP may just push Drake even further in his already outstanding career. Let’s just get the record the straight here, I can simply tell with the lack of press releases coming out about J.Cole that there is something not right at Roc Nation HQ! When you’re signed to Roc Nation, Jay-Z may only be a phone call away, but J. Cole is not ready to make that call just yet. The Roc Nation rapper is still looking for the perfect record for his boss to jump on. – or so they say!
While they’ve worked together on “A Star Is Born” from Jay’s Blueprint 3 album, Cole has yet to find the right collaboration for his debut. “I haven’t found the song that we wanna do yet, but there was one that almost happened, that he was about to write to,” he tells us. “I didn’t even write to it. I just gave him the beat like, ‘Yo, I think you would sound good on this.’ I’m glad nothing really happened because a few months later I realized that’s not the one.” There have been other contenders, including one on his newest mixtape Friday Night Lights. “There was this one record we were gonna do. Even the song ‘Enchanted’ off the mixtape, that’s a song that when I first did it, I heard Jay-Z. I’m thinkin’ like, ‘Man, is this gonna be the song?’” he says. “But I’m really particular and picky, just by the way I move and handle my announcements and everything. I’m really calculated.”
Let’s just hope J.Cole is given his time to shine, I mean just adding him on a Drake tour wont expose him the record sales he’ll need… I smell a Rihanna collaboration (don’t ask me why…I just do!) (more…)
(Excuse me for being rude but…) HAHA! shame, now we all know hate isn’t a good look and no one likes a sore loser right? RIGHT! Let the war of words continue. Lil’ Kim delivers her full attack against Nicki Minaj on “Black Friday.” Over Pharoahe Monch’s instrumental from “Simon Says,” the Queen Bee spits stinging words about the Harajuku Barbie and her Young Moneylabelmate: “This hood shit, you and Drake ain’t built for/ This the shit the other bitch almost got killed for.”
She doesn’t stop there, calling the Pink Friday lyricist a clone. “This ain’t a championship fight, I been the greatest/ See the fact is, what you doing, I did it/ Lames tryna clone my style and run wit it/ That’s cool, I was the first one wit it/ You’s a Lil’ Kim wannabe, you just hate to admit it.”
Even Nicki’s co-manager and Kim’s ex-affiliate Diddy is not safe. “You and Diddy, sorry bunch of swagger jackers,” she raps on the blistering track, which Hot 97’s DJ Absolutpremiered in full today.
It came to our attention that Lil Kim was dropped by former label and now has started an independent music group as no one wan’t her! I mean I did say that hate isn’t a good look! This was going to happen at some point or another, Lil Kim just get over it your career finished about 20 years ago, let someone else have their time! (more…)

Now that J. Cole has given fans the appetizer with his latest mixtape Friday Night Lights, he’s focusing his attention on the main course. The “Who Dat” rapper shares a few more details about his highly-anticipated debut.
“The album could be done. If I needed to put it out next week, I would be able to,” the Roc Nation signee tells us. “My expectations were already super high and I think the fans’ were too, but now that the mixtape is out and the response is what it is, I kinda want to go back in and do a few more songs that are that much better, just to boost the level of the album.”
He is now eyeing a spring drop date for the project. “I think we’re looking at a March release date or something around there with the single coming in a couple weeks.”
While he wouldn’t reveal the song’s title, he did hint at a guest appearance. “As of right now, it has a feature,” he says of the undisclosed tune, adding, “I think it’s what a lot people been waiting on.” And despite Cole World being thrown around, he has not announced an official title. “I never announced that as the name of the album, but it’s a sick title. I did think about that as a possibility, but as of right now, that’s not the title,” (more…)

After an album standard mixtape Drake was named one of GQ’s Men of the Year last year along with Kid Cudi and Wale, but this year after a sell out tour and #1 début album, he scored his own cover of the men’s magazine. He celebrated the honor at a swanky bash at Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood this week. In the cover story, he reveals that his sophomore album will be titled Take Care.
“Don’t think for a second I can’t do better,” he said of the follow-up to this year’s Thank Me Later, for which he has been working with Noah “40” Shebib, Boi-1da, and 9th Wonder. “For Take Care, I’m trying to find a way to make my raps shorter but catchier. I’m trying to condense my thoughts down to 16 bars. And it’s coming out more potent.”
Drake is set to hit the UK with his tour this February and with tickets already sold out an extended plan is being drawn up by Universal Motown to extend the tour to an arena standard and to then put on a show along side record label mates. – Now that is a show which would sell out quicker than you can say “Young Money“, maybe Drake and Nicki will couple up for the tour? Yes, when you think coming out of prison was just enough to deal with and with increased media attention on Lil Wayne – I’m not too surprised he hasn’t had a breakdown! But times are a bit hard in the yard for Lil Wayne‘s longtime manager Cortez Bryant and his crew. Bryant is known for being a sharp businessman, but recently a series of fake managers have been using his namesake and booking fake Lil Wayne shows. (oh no!)
Yes so if you see Lil Wayne performing in a night club near you, it’s probably fake! hese false managers also steal deposits from promoters and cause a lot of negative reaction when fans don’t get what was advertised. It’s become such a problem that Bryant’s people have issued a statement on how to spot a fake. This isn’t good when Lil Wayne is planning of releasing another album shortly and with an angry fan base who even know if the album will shift?
Management released a statement “It has come to light that an individual has been impersonating Bryant Management CEO Cortez Bryant, and Bryant Management operations manager Nina Packer, for financial gain through false bookings of a Lil Wayne featuring Young Money / Cash Money family tour,” reads the statement. “Utilizing phony email addresses (more…)
Rihanna wips out her hot hot hot new red hair! Long hair, don’t care. On the eve of her fifth album release, Rihanna showed off her long red locks while stepping out in midtown Manhattan. Carrying a Louis Vuitton cranberry tote and wearing a “F**k You” necklace, RiRi stormed the streets. She will perform today at 5 p.m. EST on MTV’s “The Seven.”
Plummeting temperatures have forced Rihanna to cover up in the streets of New York City, but that doesn’t mean the singer is ditching her signature edge.
This weekend, the “Rude Boy” singer was photographed accessorizing three different outfits with one very graphic necklace. The piece, modeled to look much like a traditional gold nameplate pendant, reads much like Lindsay Lohan’s middle finger did in court a few months ago. For those not in the know, this means it includes the F-word, used in the command form.
Rihanna even wore necklace while posing happily with a crew of underaged fans. Talk about mixed signals! In other news, the singer is sporting an interesting new hairstyle that looks an awful lot like a famous Disney princess’ ‘do.
I mean come on now, this is Rihanna we are talking about – we gotta go all the way right!? (more…)

Drake toasted the last stop on his “Light Dreams & Nightmares Tour” by hosting an after-party at Tryst nightclub inside Wynn Las Vegas in the early hours of Sunday. After capping off his nationwide trek with a surprise appearance from Lil Wayne, Drizzy popped bottles and held court with his friend Jas Prince, who he gifted with a Lamborghini last month.
“I’ve never witnessed something so crazy as the crowd response to drake at tryst,” wrote Playboy Playmate Laura Croft. “Girls Next Door” star Holly Madison concurred, “Never seen anything like it.”
After celebrating Weezy’s homecoming in Miami, Drake will head home to Toronto to work on his second album and R&B mixtape It’s Never Enough.
In other news with Drake concerts in Europe tickets pretty much going crazy and almost a confirmed sell out, Universal Motown has hinted that this wont be the last time for a while we won’t be seeing Drake, of course with the new mixtape on the way – we can confirm that a new album is currently being developed and according to some sources that there are several tracks ready which are LP material.
Keep it locked for an exclusive Drake give away and we may have some tour tickets to give away for those Drake and J. Cole fans – keep it locked on themomoshow.com (more…)
