Cheryl demands for the truth behind the X-Factor to be aired…live!

With issues now getting more than heated around Cheryl Cole, she has apparently demanded that on tonight’s X Factor sets the record straight on the whole Gamu controversy. – oh boy!

According to reports Chezza thinks she’s been made a scapegoat, after Katie and Cher were put through to the live shows but not the 18 year old Zimbabwean. – and rightly so, as each day passed since Cheryl Cole had made the decision to put her top three through, reports came in that Cheryl Cole‘s fan based dropped and that the public opinion of her had shifted in the space on three days. Not only has Cheryl Cole got X-Factor to be worrying about, but also her new single “Promise This” video single had a disappointing views compared to her previous hits.

It’s claimed that the judge has even received death threats since last week’s episode of the show through her twitter and her fan sites, with no official statement been released from either parties it’s hard to tell whether this is all just hot air, or just a huge communication breakdown. Gamu is currently the subject of an immigration appeal after her visa was revoked. It’s claimed X-Factor boss Simon Cowell is supporting her appeal. All attention is also on tonight’s show’s “BIG TWIST”!?

Polydor will not back Cheryl Cole

With dark clouds forming around Cheryl Cole, over her X-Factor career, her label Polydor only just added to those clouds and brewed a storm! Yes Polydor indeed are now no longer supporting Cheryl Cole‘s decision on final contestants to enter the live round of X-Factor, we were told by a Universal insider.

“At this moment we cannot offer Cheryl any support, this can only be dealt with her contact holders of X Factor who are Sony Music Entertainment UK” they then went on to say “We are not associated with the X-Factor, Cheryl was aware of the draw backs of the show and we wish her all the best with her battle with the press”. Cheryl was photographed this afternoon leaving the Universal Offices, there is now no doubt that Cheryl‘s decision on the X Factor could ruin her new album’s release.

Antics like this could decrease her fan base, and with Cheryl approaching the end of two album contract with Universal Polydor, I’m sure they’ll be happy to see the end of her…right? Well one person who would most likely agree is Anastasia Baker. Ms Baker has (likely for a sum of money) gone to the press with her story of unfair treatment and favouritism.

She picks up on the points The show seems fixed, with Cheryl having already earmaked who she wanted to put through. Cher Lloyd faked illness during her final audition, after partying with two guys the night before and Katie Waissel was already friends with key members of the X-Factor team Read the rest of this entry »

Preeya “Shimmy” ft. Mumzy Stranger

One of the most anticipated débuts acts of 2010 finally set her foot down! Yes EastEnder’s star’s Preeya Kalidas premièred her début single “Shimmy“. Preeya Kalidas who is signed with UMG’s Mercury Records told us that “It’s been years since a soap actress has managed to make that transition into the pop charts. But I’ve worked hard. I think people will be surprised with the album. I’m getting great feedback.”. From samples that have been surfacing, Preeya Kalidas in many ways has begun to resemble a young Beyonce; and with strong vocals through out the track following UK peers such as Jade Ewen and Pixie Lott – either way Preeya Kalidas is getting a lot of people excited!

The video flows well alongside the tune (kinda reminds me of Nelly Furtado‘s “Maneater” video).Preeya Kalidas has defiantly silenced many critics who doubted the success of her Pop career; with such a strong lead single for the album. Note how Preeya Kalidas has distance her own image and style of “Pop” away from the likes of Cheryl Cole and has gone for a more edgier look (kinda Pussycat Doll stlye but not all the way!). Back to the single “Shimmy” which features one of the UK’s up and coming acts “Mumzy Stranger” who has been labelled as “the UK’s answer to Sean Paul“; for some people it may take it’s time to grow but this is definitely going to be a hit! Cheryl gets a telling off by Simon Cowell

Simon Cowell has reportedly issued a warning to Cheryl Cole urging her to cut down her workload in order to give her full attention to the X Factor; is what sources told us today. It was claimed that Simon told Cheryl Cole that she needed to focus her attention more of X Factor rather than her solo career (eek!? oh no he didn’t!). “Fight For This Love” singer is currently on tour with lover Will.i.am and the Black Eyed Peas as their opening act.

Simon accused Cheryl Cole of “not being committed to the new series 100%”. Close sources told us that “Simon is supportive of Cheryl. But he feels she needs to stop gallivanting around Europe and start getting focused on The X Factor’s return.” (gallivanting”…now that is just rude!). Although at times I do see a point, it was the X Factor that made Cheryl’s popularity increased which as a result lead to her success. Cheryl Cole has been reportedly been signing up to various endorsements and music festivals which could lead to Cheryl Cole being pretty exhausted by the time X Factor comes around.

Sources told us “Simon is worried she’s been doing too much. He wants her to take some time out and get her head in the right place for what will be an incredibly demanding new series. She is determined to work as hard as she can. That’s how she has dealt with her problems with Ashley. Simon has told Cheryl she is the star of the show and that she needs to get back in the zone, and fast.” So pretty much they need their Cheryl back or X Factor will not be the same (or will it?). In other news Cheryl Cole;s hectic schedule has started to take its toll on her as reports suggest she refused to party with Will.i.am after their recent gig in Manchester because she was ‘physically exhausted.’. Cheryl, it’s time for some home-truths!

Following your poor performance at the Brit Awards last night, no wonder you’ve already jumped on a plane for a “scheduled” visit to LA. – Okay people there is no denying it! She Cheryl Cole has got alot of S$%& going on at the moment. She got so much going on that she didn’t even wear her wedding ring last night nor this morning on the way to the airport, do I smell a divorce…Yes!

Without trying to be rude, but she should of taken the hint the first time round, Cole being so rapped up in her music “career”, she seems to be dismissing the fact the whole world (okay maybe just the UK) seems to be watching her. Cheryl’s career hasn’t been easy Read the rest of this entry »

Hope For Haiti Now!

hopeBanner3

With the on going relief efforts in Haiti, Simon Cowell announced that Jon Bon Jovi and Mariah Carey will be added to the ever growing list of singers to go on Cowell’s charity single (REM’s) “Everybody Hurts”. So far other acts to be on the track will be Sir Paul McCartney, Sir Elton John, Leona Lewis, Susan Boyle, Kyle Manogue, Cheryl Cole, JLS, Alexandra Burke and Joe McElderry (other acts will be added later) some romours of Miley Cyrus joining the team.

I’m glad that the UK have finally started to go for this approach to raise money for charity, after the “Hope For Haiti” concert in the states, it wasn’t long before the UK got it’s stars and some of the other platinum ones to get together!  ”It says such a lot that everyone is working so hard to help Haiti…This is something that really matters to us all, and I’m so grateful for the support we are getting” he told us. Also confirmation that the melody will be remastered and (surprise surprise) Mariah will be leading with the main vocals! I hope everyone buys this single as soon as it comes out! And for some odd reason I have a feeling that Rihanna will be added to the list…Great!

Say “Hello” to your new XFactor judge!

eminem-picture-1Simon Cowell has responded to Eminem’s recent comments that he would make a good X Factor judge by inviting the rapper to appear on the show (oh my!). Cowell revealed he is already close to Eminem – who he calls Em. “It would be great to have him on as a guest judge,” he said. “Em – I call him that because we are on first name terms – the job is yours.” Eminem previously admitted that he found it frustrating that hip-hop rarely features on XFactor and then added that the finalists of the show not only need to be taught how to put on a good performance, but how to live with the reality of the fame that comes with the £1,000,000 recording contract!

Eminem said ““No disrespect to the current judges but you need people who are global, platinum-selling stars. You need to prepare contestants for what it’s really like out there, and what sort of pressure you are going to be under.” he then went on to say “So much average talent comes out of these reality shows, it’s time to give people a chance who deserve it. hip-hop star will never win a show like The X Factor without somebody like me on the panel…”. Which overall leads to the next big question, is XFactor only reaching out to Artists who can move discs off the shelf!? With Dannii Minogue rumours of leaving, surfacing to come out not true, I wouldn’t  be a suprise if the show went for 5 judges in 2010 Read the rest of this entry »

Cheryl Cole gotta fight fight fight fight…fight for this right!?

Cheryl ColeGirls Aloud (no on a “break member and now solo singer) Cheryl Cole only released her début single as a solo artist last week. However after all the build to her solo career since her featuring vocal in “Heartbreaker”, it’s all taken a huge knock.  Cheryl received a letter from Virgin records discussing the “misuses” of the backing track of “Lil Star” (by Kelis) in “Fight for this Love” (personally i don’t think they sound alike at all!). According to Virgin Records “the melody piece plays  at a faster tempo” (is that it?).

Seeing as Cheryl’s producers didn’t ask any permission to use the same set and copyright says that even if the melody’s tempo or arrangement is changed it’s still owned by creator. So looks like Cheryl has one of two choices, firstly being with draw the tack and hit the studios or hit the bank and pay out the huge charge that comes with fighting a record label comes with. Cheryl’s spokesperson denied the claims, saying “There are no similarities.”, and as Cheryl says “If it’s worth having, it’s worth fighting for!”.
