Yes, with Alicia Keys due any time during December and being in no fit state to continue with the planned re-release promotion of “The Element of Freedom” album and not forgetting “The Greatest Hits” LP, it’s now becoming even more clear that these projects will not see the light of day.

With Alicia Keys recently parting with management, which is most likely now to be replaced by new husband and hit producer Swizz Beatz. Be side all the dramas around her, it was confirmed today that the single “Put It In A Love Song” has been cancelled for any further promotion and release. SME (Sony Music Entertainment) stated that “the record was now far overdue, and would not place among those records out now. It would not get what it deserves in the current market” – In all fairness, the hype around the track has been killed and true to the point that “Put It In A Love Song” would epically fall out of any chart if released tomorrow.

As for the much awaited video featuring Beyonce, it will be available to download only through purchase however will then not be placed on youtube…huh? If you ask me, they waited too long for people to get excited about the project, people waited and waited – waited so long we forgot what we was waiting for!

Alicia Keys is currently on honeymoon and expects herself to be back in the studio as soon as her baby is born! (more…)

Alicia Keys and hitmaker Swizz Beats tied the knot in Sardinia this weekend. The first images from the couple’s nuptials have emerged. Alicia, Swizz, Swizz’s son, and Alicia’s mother below. R&B singer Alicia Keys, who is currently five months pregnant with her first child by her fiancé and music producer Swizz Beatz, is apparently loving everything about being pregnant.

The 29-year-old hit-maker said that she needs to be peaceful and happy during her pregnancy and that impending  motherhood has changed her.

Alicia Keys told us “Oh, I love children and I love family and I love that interaction. Because I had a really close relationship with my mother I understand that deep powerful love, and it’s so beautiful. To be a mother to a child is the most brilliant gift, it’s gorgeous.”. I’m sure this is all an exciting moment for Alicia Keys, however the “No One” singer seems to be making slightly more public appearances now from when she was promoting her “Element of Freedom” album? Is someone trying to cover-up all the drama that’s gone on with their management?, I think so!

Alicia Keys then went on to say “I’m definitely in a place where I have a different sensibility about things. I remember how I used to be, ‘I’m going on the road and I’m

back when I’m back and I’m probably gone a long time.”, she also then denied rumours of her secret wedding which was meant to happen this weekend to Swizz Beatz! Looks like we just going to have to wait till the baby comes! (more…)

After over a decade, Alicia Keys has ended her business relationship with longtime manager Jeff Robinson. Keys and Robinson released a joint statement on Friday (July 16) announcing their split. “Jeff Robinson, CEO of MBK Entertainment Inc., and 12-time Grammy Award winner Alicia Keys have decided to change the structure of their business relationship,” read the statement. “Robinson and Keys will continue to collaborate and produce future albums together through MBK/J Records while Alicia will now oversee all aspects of her own personal career.”

The decision was “mutually agreed upon and amicable.” Moving forward, Keys’ own company AK Worldwide will oversee ventures including touring and licensing to film, television, and new business development. “This decision will allow Alicia more control over all aspects of her career from singing and songwriting, to leading many business ventures and social causes,” continued the statement.

Robinson had been Keys trusted friend and manager since she was 14 years old. He is credited as executive producer on her last four studio albums. “I have known Alicia since she was 14. She has matured as an artist, going from a ‘wide-eyed and curious-about-the-world girl’ to a ‘wide-eyed and curious-about-the-universe woman,” Robinson told us magazine in 2007. “She continues to absorb knowledge like a sponge and I feel like a proud father watching his daughter grow into a take-charge woman.” Robinson’s company MBK Entertainment Inc. will focus on developing other acts including LeToya Luckett, Jermaine Paul, and Elle Varner. Fresh off Drake‘s album with “Fancy”, Swizz Beatz (pictured with his two kids) talks to us about how T.I.‘s both film and album are coming along since they’ve been pushed back! Swizz said that T.I. is looking to out-do some of his past hits with the tracks on this forthcoming project titled “King Uncaged“.

The Hip-Hop producers and now Alicia Keys‘ new partner said “What we just did is bigger than those. It’s bigger than “Swing Ya Rag“, it’s bigger than all of those. We’re growing as artists. That’s one of the things I wanted to focus on with Tip, was: ‘We did that already. We don’t need to compete with nobody. You up there.’ Everything we gotta do, we gotta stay leaders. That’s how we got to where we at now.” – Needless to say many Swizz Beatz tracks do well on the Hip-Hop/Rap scene, only looking a few months back with Jadakiss‘ “Who’s Real” only demonstrates the talent that Swizz Beatz has.

He then went on to say “He gave me his OK on that. Gave me the clear lane. And we’re gone. Trust me on that. The first joint, it’s nice. Crazy! The second joint is taking the world over. It’s a positive message, and I’ll let him explain the rest of the story, because he would be glad to. It’s very musical, but still with that swag in it.” – T.I.‘s “King Uncaged” and film “Takers” is scheduled for release this year. (more…)

Alicia Keys, who fell during her performance of “Love Is Blind” at the New Orleans’ Essence Music Festival has been advised (yet again) by her management to take the performance a little more easy. The “No One” singer slipped and fell flat on her back whilst she was singing the chorus to the expected forth lead single of the album “The Element of Freedom“.

This isn’t the first time that Alicia Keys has pushed herself a little too far during her pregnancy, only days ago she decided to climb on top of her piano during her BET performance! – I mean we all love and adore Alicia Keys‘ music, but now this is just becoming a cry for attention. I honestly do think that Alicia Keys really needs to start listening to the people at J Records and stop touring! – There will be other albums, I’m sure!

Alicia Keys who is six months into her pregnancy had to cut short her “Freedom Tour”, and in a recent statement J Records commented on the events surround Alicia Keys they said “due to Alicia Keys‘ pregnancy, promotion for the album will be eased” they then went on to comment on her actions “If Alicia Keys continues to do so, she will be putting her unborn child at risk!”.  In all honesty I would be surprised to see Alicia Keys still doing her stuff even eight months! I wonder what father of child, rapper Swizz Beatz has to say about this?

Yes! You herd right! Fresh from her performance at the World Cup opening ceremony, Alicia Keys got her unborn baby blessed in a traditional Zulu ceremony in South Africa. The couple were spotted after the “closed” ceremony was leaked out to the surrounding press. Both Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz looked very happy despite the huge and unexpected media turn out!

She was chosen to recieve the blessing after doing charity work for Bobbi Bear, which receives donations from the “Empire State Of Mind” singer. A spokesperson for the charity, which runs a weekly HIV clinic, told the Daily Mail: ”Alicia has been made part of the tribal family because she really reached out to the people here.” Sources went on to say ”‘Two female priests who practise a mix of Christianity and tribal customs chose new names for her and the unborn child, as a mark of respect. The names were kept between them, but were chosen to reflect Alicia’s character.”

I’m really happy that Alicia Keys has finally put everything on hold and has started to enjoy this time with her new to be husband Swizz Beatz, they are set to have their bundle of joy around December 2010! Not too long now! For more pictures of the ceremony scroll over here! (more…)

Alicia Keys who recently got engaged to producer Swizz Beatz and revealed that she is pregnant. Now the singer is opening up about how excited she is for motherhood – even though she is having to cut her “Freedom Tour” short…not so free now are you Alicia Keys (just kidding!).

Alicia Keys told sources “I can’t wait to become a mum. No question…It’s the most beautiful gift in the world. Truly a gift from God. I have an amazing mother – she is a best friend to me. And I would like to be the same to my child.” We all know about the struggles Alicia Keys‘ mother had to go through to give the talent her daughter has today; she went on to say “Adopting is definitely not out of the question. I would love to figure out the ways that could work for me. I felt I wanted to scoop up the children I met in Africa and take them home. At this point I kinda feel I have amazing brothers and sisters in Africa.”.

You know; in all for adopting children (good for you!) – but why Africa!? Are there not enough disadvantaged children in the states? why you gotta go and follow the trend and pick up one of these children (like they some sort of item or household gift) from Africa!? I would understand if Alicia Keys has some relative who’s baby’s mama passed away and so Alicia would look after the kid – that fine!

I don’t know (i’m not going to judge here, but hey!); I’m sure aswell Alicia Keys will make a good mother! She just better make sure she keeps Swizz Beatz on lock so he don’t get another R&B singer preggers and leaves her! (more…)

Yes you guessed it! Rihanna “RiRi” has got herself into yet another media spotlight! and no, Drake didn’t hit her (before some of you run away with your imaginations)!

But Drake has said he thinks tha Rihanna used him when they dated briefly last year. In an interview Drake tells all about his night with the “Rude Boy” singer Rihanna. He told us “I was a pawn, You know what she was doing to me? She was doing exactly what I’ve done to so many women throughout my life, which is show them quality time, then disappear. I was like, ‘Wow, this feels terrible.’” – heartbreaking I’m sure.

Drake rapped about his date in his leaked song Fireworks featuring Alicia Keys saying: “Damn, I kept my wits about me, luckily…What happened between us that night, it always seems to trouble me. Now all of a sudden, these gossip rags want to cover me…And you making it seem like it happened that way because of me.”. That being said; I hardly see the relevance of that now? Rihanna (who is currently touring) has recently seen a huge shift in her fans; and seen a decline too! A lot of people either hate or love Rihanna; there is more middle!

Drake is set to drop his album this Monday; even though weeks ago the entire LP was leaked over the internet; however Drake still stays positive – at the end of the day a Drake fan is a Drake fan. Yes, that’s right with Alicia Keys four months into her pregnancy is now being given medical advice about how to continue “The Freedom Tour” to support her album “The Element of Freedom“. Alicia Keys who is expected to marry Swiss Beatz sometime during the year may have ot face cancelling some of her tours on the African and Asian leg of the $42,000,000 world tour. Currently Alicia Keys is travelling from one destination to another via a private jet; however news came in today the doctors have advised Alicia Keys to at any time possible avoid this in the coming months and entirely cut her work load to minimum.

This year so far, Alicia Keys was set to re-release “The Element of Freedom” album with a new lead single; “Put It In A Love Song“, however if things are going the way they are, this may all have to be put on told. Giving Alicia Keys the time to plan her wedding and start to prepare herself to become a mother. Alicia Keys is expected to close the tour at home in the states on the 3rd of July.
