Island Def Jam showcase Jennifer Lopez’s new album…

Jennifer Lopez feels the Love? on the cover of her seventh album, due on Island Def Jam next year. Chosen as one of Barbara Walters’ “10 Most Fascinating People of 2010,” J.Lo revealed the artwork during her interview last night, with the singer-actress decked out in diamonds and a fur coat while she looks off into the distance.

Additionally, the entertainer spoke about her upcoming judging gig on the 2011 season of “American Idol” and the hesitancy she felt in agreeing to it. “When they first offered it to me, I was like, no. And then I thought to myself, I’ll be at home with the babies. It just seemed like, wow, we can have a little bit of a normal life for like, seven months. That would be fun!” she exclaimed.

J.Lo also spoke on keeping it real when it comes to judging the contestants. “I can be honest, but I don’t like being mean. I don’t like when people are mean to me, so I don’t want to be mean to anybody,” Read the rest of this entry »

Chris Brown announces new album title

Chris Brown got back in a pop state of mind with his club-friendly jam “Yeah 3x,” but that’s only the tip of the iceberg. C. Breezy took over the airwaves to announce his upcoming album title and update listeners on its progress.

“I’m putting out singles a lot right now, so everything’s coming together,” he revealed on Austin, Texas, radio station 102.3 The Beat. “But I’m definitely going to say this and plug it quick. The name of my album is F.A.M.E., so make sure you check it out.” (hmm sounds like RiRi’s LOUD!?)

The 21-year-old singer’s fourth album title stands for “Forgiving All My Enemies,” the acronym that he got tattooed on his arm this past July. He recently released a snippet of the DJ Frank E-produced “Yeah 3x,” which will be unveiled in full within the next week.

“I got a couple things coming to y’all in the future. I’ve got the new records coming out. I’ve got one called ‘Yeah 3x.’ It’s self-explanatory, you can probably hear it on YouTube right now, but we gon’ put it out to y’all in a couple more days or something like that,” he said. “Also, we got a record called ‘Calypso.’ I got a couple other things. So I’m trying to get everything together, figure out what I’mma do with the album.”

Kanye West drops “Good Ass Job” title

Kanye West no longer wants a “Good Ass Job“. After much speculation, the hip-hop star has revealed that he is cooking up a new album title.

West took to his new Twitter page (which he only just recently joined!) to answer the question his fans have been asking, what will he name his fifth album? “The album is no longer called Good Ass Job I’m bouncing a couple of titles around now,” he wrote.

He earlier announced that he would continue the college theme of his previous albums “The College Dropout“, “Late Registration“, and “Graduation“. “Good Ass Job” was to be the last installment in the series.

Kanye West’s fifth album is scheduled for a September 14 release, and with very little hype around Mr West himself it looks like this project could be on the verge of crashing to the ground. We got a chance to speak to an insider of the project who told us “Well, first of all, if you look at all of Kanye West‘s output, he actually did a lot to bring back sampling and make it cool again, even though he’s more of a mainstream artist…but his new album is strictly hard beats and rhyme. He’s totally done with electro. You’re gonna be surprised what you hear.”

I’m still undecided about what exactly Kanye West‘s sound is, with very little time push out the album and with the first single off the LP (this isn’t even the official lead) “Power“, there is no doubt that this project will get pushed back all the way to 2011. Read the rest of this entry »

Beyonce talks about album 2011

With Beyonce stacking up the record sales and awards she is one of the most hardest working woman in the music industry; saying that Beyonce has already started to talk about plans for her as yet untitled or recorded forth solo studio album. What Sony Music has confirmed is that Beyonce will be releasing a “Greatest Hits” compilation album around December 2010.

When we asked Beyonce about the potential reformation of Destiny’s Child she told us “it’s not something I don’t want to happen, but we just all gotta wait for the right time…we’ve spoken about it and we don’t want the whole thing to be or feel forced…it will take time but it’s something that has to happen naturally”.

With Beyonce fresh off her sell out world tour (which she is expecting to extend in certain locations), she’s already got her eyes on her next project; and this time it’s away from the big screen onto her next album which told us is not a Sasha Fierce spin off  ”I killed Sasha, she’s gone…done and dusted”. So could this mean Beyonce may be heading in a new direction musically, with the album under development right this minute and after her industry break (when ever she decides to take that!), she will start recording the album. I’m glad Beyonce is seeking for a new sound, she has been one of very few artists who’ve failed to progress in the music industry!

After all her platinum selling “I Am…Sasha Fierce” managed to poor out singles from 2008 to 2010! that’s two years that album has managed to keep holding on to the top 40 spot! It’s going to be hard for Beyonce to top herself when other acts across the board are experimenting with new sounds, Beyonce is missing out in a prime promotion time during the Summer of 2010! Let just hope she can work it out in 2011!
