T.I. and Pharrell’s work is done in the studio

Before T.I. and Tiny ended up getting arrested last night, Tip was getting it poppin’ in the studio with Pharrell. The above pic, snapped hours before the couple’s felony arrest,shows Skateboard P and the King of the South kicking it, most likely during a studio session for T.I.’s upcoming album “King Uncaged“.
Shortly after, T.I. and his bride Tameka “Tiny” Cottle were apprehended in Los Angeles after cops stopped them for making an illegal U-turn. Smelling marijuana in the car, police arrested the pair and set bail at $10,000, later revealing that they were in possession of a controlled substance believed to be ecstasy.
As of now, T.I.’s probation officer has asked the MC to fly back to Atlanta, where federal officials are determining if they will attempt to revoke his probation. “The probation office is in the process of determining what happened and will make a recommendation regarding Mr. Harris when they have all the facts,” says United States Attorney Sally Quillian Yates.
If T.I. is found in violation, he could be sent back to prison and face a jail sentence much longer than the seven-month stint he recently served for illegal possession of firearms. Read the rest of this entry »
Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz since their wedding

Alicia Keys and Swizz Beatz stepped arm-in-arm into September. The pregnant songstress and her husband strolled through Tribeca for a little shopping. The Mrs. showed off her legs in shorts and sandals, while Swizz bared the New York heat in an orange polo and shorts. The couple is expecting their first child this fall.
Alicia will return to the stage at her annual Black Ball at New York’s Hammerstein Ballroom on September 30, along with performers Jay-Z and Sade. As for her other half, he is crafting new music for Snoop Dogg and Mary J. Blige and completing his own album Haute Living.
Later that day Alicia Keys and her new husband Swizz Beatz were seen enjoying a romantic meal in a (wait for it…) salad bar. The couple — who tied the knot at the end of July — hit up Big Apple eatery Via dei Mille, where they shared a Caprese salad, mixed vegetable plate and sea bass.
“They seemed so in love,” an onlooker told us. “There was not a moment of silence between the two.” Beatz and Keys are expecting their first child together later this year. Swizz recently opened up about his wedding to the Fallin’ singer. “Everything was just wow. You all know I’m a huge Mariah Carey fan! But who are you trying to fool Mariah? So never the less Mariah Carey, who may or may not have a bun in the oven, received a royal welcome in Brazil. The curvaceous diva headlined the Festa Do Peão de Boiadeiros (Cowboy Festival) in Barretos, São Paulo, Brazil on Saturday (Aug. 21), performing a 15-song set that included “Dreamlover,” “My All,” “Obsessed,” and “I Want to Know What Love Is,” which was No. 1 in the country for a record-breaking 27 weeks. She changed multiple times from a black princess-like dress with matching tiara to a leather jacket and T-shirt that read, “If you like fun, you’ll love me.” – Typical of Mariah Carey.
A grateful Mimi thanked her Brazilian fans for their support following the show, fueling pregnancy rumors with her comment. “Thank you SO much 2 everybody in Brazil @ the show 2nite! So many familiar faces-Brazil you always show me love &I am so GRATEFUL!” she tweeted. “Seriously,I really do love it here, beautiful people inside and out! Tonite was tuff 4 me 4 personal reasons,but U got me thru!L4L.”- Indeed Mariah Carey fans rushed to in their millions to begin the campaign to find out what is going out! Chris Brown and Usher cancel joint tour

Chris Brown and Usher fans were in glee earlier this week when Bryan-Michael Cox announced that the duo were going on tour. However, even after Brown proposed to the idea on his Twitter, the plans for the show have been officially scrapped. There is no official word from either artist’s camp as to why the venture was canceled. Brown has since removed any messages referring to the tour from his Twitter page.
But according to Usher’s camp, this is all just talk – for now, at least. “There are no plans at this time for Usher and Chris Brown to tour together,” reps for the 31-year-old singer said. Brown’s reps said ditto with the statement: “There is no confirmed Chris Brown and Usher tour at this time.”
Perhaps they’re just waiting to see how badly fans want it. Brown tweeted Wednesday, “Would you pay to see an Usher and Chris Brown concert/tour,” followed by, “RT #CBUSHERTOUR if u want it to happen.” Lo and behold, at the time of this posting, #cbushertour was a trending topic.
And now this is now why I’m sticking to my new quote of the year…”I’ll believe it when I see it”, although a Chris Brown and Usher tour would of been a done deal for world wide success it seems to me that those on Usher’s side are getting a bit too greedy! I guess we’ll just be stuck with Rihanna and her squealing as the only alternative unless we go to Trey Songz’s sex show, ‘Passion, Pain, & Pleasure’. At least we still have Lady GaGa. Usher and Chris Brown to tour together?

R&B crooners Chris Brown and Usher are reportedly going on tour together. – Okay here we go!
According to their mutual friend and producer,Bryan Michael Cox, the two hit-makers are also planning on recording a track together. – I find the all really hard to believe, even though they are label friends but Chris Brown’s tour just got axed due to reasons which I’m not going to mention (don’t worry RiRi it’s not you!). And with Usher only pushing out two extention LPs to his “Raymond Vs Raymond” I just don’t see this project taking off!
The Grammy-winning songwriter revealed on YouTube: “Usher and the boy Chris Brown are going on tour, y’all know that, right? I might’ve just gave y’all some exclusive s**t!” Chris Breezy then took to his Twitter to add fuel to the fire by saying: “What would you guys say if me and Usher went on tour?” If this is to happen, we are pretty sure all the females around the world will make sure this event is sold out in no time. Good marketing skills!
But don’t get too excited, I’m sure some where down the line something or someone will get cancelled and then this would lead to more drama, and then who knows Chris Brown might even decided to hit/bite someone else (just kidding). Beyonce “I’ve ditched Sasha…and now i’m just fierce!”

Beyonce has been hard at work in the studio crafting her next record recently. However, the diva took some time to talk about her life including a new revelation that might shock some of her fans – the era of Sasha Fierce may be over for good. Either that or she has just realised that she’s made enough money.
“I don’t need Sasha so much any more because these days I know who I am. It takes time to figure out who you are and I am still discovering different things about myself – as I am exposed to different experiences I think, “Oh, I like this, I didn’t know I liked this.” That’s the journey of life that is so exciting. More and more I know who I am, I know what I like, I know what I want and that makes me feel so free. I don’t need to hide any more.”
The real question is whether Beyonce will be retiring the musical persona of Sasha Fierce as well. There have been several indications that she will be taking a fresh approach with her upcoming album and if that is truly the case then it may be time to put her usual beat-driven and lyrically shallow style to rest in favour of more personal expression.”
Although she may have won several awards on the basis of popularity for ”Single Ladies“, I sense that Beyonce has been churning out such tunes as a way for her to compensate for her lack of artistic depth. Beyonce definitely has the talent to create iconic material. We where lucky enough to catch up with Mariah Carey’s other half…he spoke to us exclusively over the telephone earlier this month! The interview covers variety of topics ranging from his desire to be respected by his peers, to his constant battles with the media over his wife of two years, Mariah Carey.
(Q). Where or to whom do you turn when you’re confused or challenged? I turn to God more than anything, because prayer changes things. Other than that, my wife is my best friend, so we talk about any and everything… [it] always helps to have a companion that no matter what’s going on, you can always go to that person and share everything.
(Q.) Does the media attention ever interfere with the harmony at home? No, we don’t pay any attention to the media. Once we are in the confines of our home, all of that other stuff just goes out of the window.
(Q.) Is the age difference ever an issue in your relationship?
When it comes to the age difference, my wife and I don’t even pay attention to that. I think at some point, everyone obviously recognizes that there is an age difference, but it’s just like anybody else’s relationship. You don’t really think about how old your spouse is when you’re dealing with them every day. We’re both on the same page and we both have a youthful spirit. I’ve always been around people that were a lot older than me. All of my best friends are a lot older than me, and I’ve always been attracted to people that were a little more mature than myself.
(Q). Why do you think that the public is so eager to see you take on fatherhood? I actually appreciate people wanting me to be a father. I don’t think that people understand that we have our own lives, and that we are going to do it when we want to do it, instead of when they want us to do it. But I appreciate everyone being so eager about this process between me and my wife. (Q).As a married man, what advice would you give to guys on being faithful, and keeping the romance alive? Before you get married, get it all out of your system. Don’t do it until you’re ready, and make sure that the person that you’re with is worth your faithfulness and worth your time … then you won’t even have to think about doing anything because no one will be on your wife’s level. You’ll have so much love for that person that there’s no way that you can be tempted, you wouldn’t want to lose it. It’s a simple fact. If you’ve got a 1985 Nissan Sentra, when a Bentley drives by, you’re gonna want that Bentley. But if you didn’t settle, and you make sure that you’ve got your own Bentley, then you won’t even think about any other cars when they drive by.
(Q). By contrast, what advice would you give to women to keep men engaged in the relationship? If I had to give women advice – not that I know anything – but I would just say that you should strip away your man’s ego. You have to cater to who he is as a person, and understand that we’re emotional as well, and that [the] main emotion is ego. So if you can strip away that, then everything else will be good. Kanye West invited back to the VMAs

“Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time…of all time!” - Despite his headline-grabbing appearance at last year’s show, MTV has invited Kanye West back to perform at this year’s Video Music Awards.
All eyes will be on Mr. West when he takes the stage at the 27th annual show – just make sure you brace yourselves – it may be Justin Bieber this time round.
Kanye had everyone talking after he interrupted Taylor Swift during her acceptance speech at last year’s event. He was reportedly asked by MTV to leave the show following the spectacle. But the hoopla is bound to attract viewers who will be tuning in to see whether Kanye has any more surprises up his sleeve.
The VMA gig is only one of many things Kanye has planned for this year. “More music … I’m bout to drop a bunch of shit this year.. surprise performances.. guest verses… living in the studio,” tweeted the rapper, whose fifth album is set for a November release.
Maybe we should give Kanye West the benefit of the doubt – after all he did announced he was a changed man? – right? But if you’re asking me MTV is so just doing this so they boost up the views, and a VMA will never be a VMA without Kanye West!

T.I. talks fashion and his five most admired people…

Rapper T.I. has opened up about what he likes when it comes to fashion. He says that Jay-Z and P Diddy are two hip-hop artists that have ‘proper swagger’ (knowing how to dress well).
Tip, who also runs a clothing line called Akoo, says that he doesn’t like coloured jeans or Vans and doesn’t like the showing his socks.He told us: “Puff has an all-around style, upscale, urban and classic. I can say that for both. They just have a different way of doing it.” he spoke.
“I am very selective with my clothes. This is a time where fashion and style go against what I would rather do myself. So I have to pick and choose from people that share my enthusiasm when it comes to certain things.” – Of course, the diva that you are!
“I’m not going to do red jeans. No green jeans. I don’t do Vans and that’s the style right now. I don’t want to show my socks when I’m wearing jeans. So, when you ask me who I look up to and who I can admire for their style right now, I have to choose from people that represent what I represent stylistically.”
Needless to say, that T.I. really has no say on fashion, coming from the guy who either rolls up in a crisp suit or baggy jeans and a white tee. T.I.’s new album “King Uncaged” is expected to drop later this month.
And in other news, T.I. stars alongside some of Hollywood’s leading men in his new action flick “Takers“. But who does the King of the South look up to in his personal life and career? He shards five power players in music, Hollywood, and business who Tip admires for their talent, hustle, and swag.
Jay-Z: He done the rap shit to the best it could be done. He’s done it better than anyone who’s ever done it and then…Master P: He came from the same ghetto and bullshit that I came from and turned himself into a corporate conglomerate. Followed by Russell Simmons: I look up to Russ, because … he started this shit and he still here. Will Smith: He got it right. Will transitioned from rapping to acting and did it at a stellar level of performance.
Diddy: He’s fly as I am; just as conceited, pompous, and arrogant as me, but he managed to maintain a humble sense of self. Puff got enough sense to know—even though he feels like he’s more the shit than anybody else—when they got something going on that [he] ain’t got.
