Chris Brown’s restraining order lifted

Chris Brown appeared in a downtown Los Angeles courtroom today where a judge lifted the restraining order prohibiting him from going near ex-girlfriend Rihanna, reports US sources. Kanye West may have lost out on some deserving awards in the past, but he didn’t need to cut any speeches short at the 14th Annual ACE Awards because he was the night’s big winner. The dapper rapper was honored as Stylemaker of the Year for his “personal style and influence on fashion” at the Accessories Council’s event held at Cipriani 42nd Street in New York City.
“When they make a list of 100 New Yorkers, and I’m not on it, it breaks my heart,” an admittedly nervous Kanye told the audience. “Thank you for this moment of acceptance.”
Before the awards, ‘Ye sat down with Hot 97’s Funkmaster Flex for an interview, which will air this week over in the states. Further more Kanye West kept fans waiting for an hour for a Ustream chat and Def Jam conference call, but the Chi-town rapper finally appeared to discuss his album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy.
With his G.O.O.D. Music fam Big Sean, CyHi the Prynce, and Pusha T joining him for the session, ‘Ye showed the three-fold physical copy of the fancy packaging with additional slide-out covers, and spoke of working with Q-Tip and Madlib for his collabo album with Jay-Z Watch the Throne, putting J. Cole on a G.O.O.D. Friday track, and how he was inspired by Ol’ Dirty Bastard. EXCLUSIVE: Rihanna to turn on Christmas lights at Westfield!

So yes last year it was Mariah Carey and this year it’s Rihanna! Close sources to TheMoMoShow.com have told us that Rihanna will be turning on the Westfield London Shopping Centre this thursday! (4th November 2010). Although Westfield are yet to make the announcement you herd it hear first on TheMoMoShow.com.
Rihanna is one busy bee. Right after appearing on Saturday Night Live this weekend, she popped up on last night’s U.K. edition of The X Factor.
Her performance of current hit “Only Girl (In the World)” on X Factor bested the SNL version for a few reasons. Most important was the sound mix: SNL‘s was as perversely muddy as it is for most musical guests, while X Factor actually made it possible to hear the synth stabs that are this song’s reason for being.
Also, Rihanna got caught up in a food fight on X Factor. She was performing on some sort of banquet-table set; about halfway through the song, her backup dancers started hurling baked goods at one another. It was pretty entertaining… Read the rest of this entry »
Mumzy Stranger kicks off promotional tour!

It was only a few months ago when a promo single from London boy Mumzy Stranger was left on my desk. Indeed “Fly With Me” was the much anticipated single from the singer, rapper and song writer – although the track is very different from the current play-list of just Euro-pop, Euro-pop, Euro-pop and more Euro-pop (did I mention Euro-pop?) it was just a relief to hear something with a little more substance than the tracks out there today that could single handed give you a epileptic fit!
Impossible to box in a specific genre, Fly With Me draws influences from dance music combined with smooth R&B vocals and a distinct dancehall flavour. – Of course the track is nothing like the previous work of Mumzy Stranger however this very single alone has caused a lot of head in the industry. Co-written and co-produced with renowned producer and long time mentor, Rishi Rich, Mumzy Stranger The single is a must have!!!
And Mumzy Stranger is currently touring the country promoting the new exciting single alongside the amazing video… – there is more to come from Mumzy Stranger; I just cannot tell you yet! Trey Songz talks about Usher’s “OMG Tour”

Ladies get ready. Fresh off his headlining tour with Monica, Trey Songz is gearing up to hit the road with fellow R&B lothario Usher on his “OMG Tour” beginning November 10 at Seattle’s KeyArena. Before he took the stage at last week’s “So Kodak” concert (epic fail in my words!) with Drake,we captured a few moments with the “Bottoms Up” singer, who told us how the pairing came about and which of his tourmate’s tunes stay on repeat.
How did you link up with Usher? “Well, Usher and I first started collaborating work-wise on the “I Invented Sex (Remix),” but we’ve known each other for a while and he’s always been someone I could come to for advice. Furthermore, he’s paved the way for guys like myself to even do what we do. So to go on tour with Usher, who’s now at iconic status—I believe—and for me to be involved and to know that I mean something to the tour is an amazing feeling.”
What kind of influence has he had on your career? “Well Usher was one of the first young sex symbol kind of artists of my generation. It’s because of guys like him that I’m even able to do this.” What are your favorite Usher songs? “Nice & Slow,” some of the earlier Usher stuff, “You Make Me Wanna…” and “Burn.” He’s had hit after hit after hit after hit.
