Chris Brown got back in a pop state of mind with his club-friendly jam “Yeah 3x,” but that’s only the tip of the iceberg. C. Breezy took over the airwaves to announce his upcoming album title and update listeners on its progress.

“I’m putting out singles a lot right now, so everything’s coming together,” he revealed on Austin, Texas, radio station 102.3 The Beat. “But I’m definitely going to say this and plug it quick. The name of my album is F.A.M.E., so make sure you check it out.” (hmm sounds like RiRi’s LOUD!?)

The 21-year-old singer’s fourth album title stands for “Forgiving All My Enemies,” the acronym that he got tattooed on his arm this past July. He recently released a snippet of the DJ Frank E-produced “Yeah 3x,” which will be unveiled in full within the next week.

“I got a couple things coming to y’all in the future. I’ve got the new records coming out. I’ve got one called ‘Yeah 3x.’ It’s self-explanatory, you can probably hear it on YouTube right now, but we gon’ put it out to y’all in a couple more days or something like that,” he said. “Also, we got a record called ‘Calypso.’ I got a couple other things. So I’m trying to get everything together, figure out what I’mma do with the album.”

The Roc was in the building Wednesday night at the fall campaign celebration for Rocawear. Jay-Z and Kanye West shared a booth at NYC’s Hotel Gansevoort, where fellow stars including Bun B, Omarion, Estelle, Melody Thornton, Serena Williams, Selita Ebanks, and Common rubbed elbows.

Patrons were treated to performances from Rocawear’s latest celebrity models Trey Songz and Melanie Fiona, while DJs Solange and NVM manned the wheels of steel. After the party, VIPs migrated to the Angelika Film Center for a 15-minute screening of Kanye’s “Runaway” film.

“The @kanyewest preview to his film blew my mind. On my mind. In my mind,” tweeted Solange following the event. “I feel over stimulated, but in the most bittersweet capacity. Pure panic in my hands. Excitement. Shivering. Brain collapses. Brain surges.”.

With both Jay-Z and Kanye West being photographed together only weeks together at dinner, it’s weird to see these to come together! His mother might not have a Twitter account, but Drake even had her fooled when she caught wind of his fake marriage to Nicki Minaj announced on the social networking site last month.

“My mom was actually like, ‘What happened? How did you elope?’” Drake told us while attending last week’s MTV VMAs. “But we were just joking around. I never thought it would get so out of hand.”

Drizzy and Nicki had the Internet abuzz when word spread of their Twitter matrimony. “Please refer to @nickiminaj as Mrs. Aubrey Drake Graham and don’t stare at her too long. She’s finally mine,” he tweeted, to which Minaj responded, “Yes, it’s true. Drake and I tied the knot.” Their reps later denied the reports.

To add fuel to the fire, Drake purchased a ring for himself which some mistook as a wedding band. “Ironically, I got a ring for myself, so people were like, ‘Aw, you got married, and you have a ring you’re wearing,’” he added.

But not everyone has gotten the memo that the marriage was a joke. “People still think it’s real,” he said. “I’ll look at a girl, and she’ll be like, ‘You’re a married man. You shouldn’t look at me that way.’” – You know, i would be hocked if they were really married behind all this mist of drama!

Mary J. Blige may be the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul, but according to other press, she is also New York’s Queen of Style. MJB was named by the magazine as the Most Stylish New Yorker of 2010. She celebrated her honor at hotspot Lavo in New York City on Wednesday night (Sept. 15).

“It feels great to be New York’s Most Fashionable Woman,” said Mary, reflecting on her evolving style. “[My style] was mostly b-girl ’cause I was never a lady like this when I was growing up. I was really a tomboy.”

Other chic celebs who made the list of 25 Most Stylish New Yorkers of 2010 included Swizz Beatz, Iman, Vampire Weekend, and DJ Kiss. Shontelle, Ryan Leslie, Sean Garrett, Omarion, and more showed up to the party, which capped off Fashion Week.

Must say even though this 42 year old is pretty much saying goodbye to her “golden” days – meaning yes, Mary J. Blige is now losing those record sales has hasn’t entered the top 10 in a very long time, she can still rock a hot outfit!

Never the less, I do question the relivance of Mary J. Blige these days? Really? I mean I love  Mary J. Blige and who doesn’t but that album didn’t shift nor did that tour sell out. It’s a shame becuase she’s an amazing act, but time does tell. The only thing that could save  Mary J. Blige is maybe a roll in a film? or even (yes!) a fragrance?

The King was back on the red carpet at Trey Songz’ Passion, Pain & Pleasure release party presented by Target. The rapper, looking preppy in a collegiate cardigan and glasses, posed for photos with his labelmate and former NBA player Jalen Rose. VIP guests mingled on the sprawling rooftop of Ventanas in Atlanta as DJ Don Cannon provided the evening’s soundtrack. Usher’s new tourmate will wrap his headlining tour this week in New York.

Passion, Pain & Pleasure is the fourth studio album by American R&B singer Trey Songz, released on September 14, 2010. Production for the album took place during March to July 2010 and was handled by several record producers, including his mentor Troy Taylor, Bryan-Michael Cox, Stargate, and Mario Winans, among others. The album’s lead single, “Bottoms Up“, featuring Nicki Minaj, was released on July 27, 2010, while the second single, “Can’t Be Friends“, will be released in August 2010. Drake also makes an appearance on the album. Trey states that this will be his best album yet. This album is also being promoted via his Summer 2010 tour with Monica.

Let’s just hope this works out for him!!! Alot of pressure has been put on Mr. Songz to really push out on this album and to really show the world there is alot more to the heart throb of the R&B world – Personally, after listening to the Lp myself…not impressed!

Jay-Z went out with a bang on the second night of his historical co-headlining gig with Eminem at Yankee Stadium on Tuesday (Sept. 14), bringing out guests including Mary J. Blige, Drake, and Nicki Minaj to assist him on some of his biggest hits. The Queen of Hip-Hop Soul sang the hook on Jigga’s “Heart of the City (Ain’t No Love),” while Young Money’s favorite fake couple Drake and Nicki gave a rendition of Drizzy’s “Up All Night.” Even if you weren’t there, you can relive the moment by watching the clips here.

Some unions are pre-ordained and, following Jay-Z and Eminem‘s Home and Home finale at New York’s Yankee Stadium this week, fans shared their hopes of hearing an album from the two legends. Even Mrs. MJB, who performed at the concert during Jay’s set, weighed in.”I think that’s great,” said Mary. “I think Jay-Z and Eminem doing an album together is very very historic, exactly like the concert was.”

The concert was historic because it marked the first time Yankee Stadium allowed hip-hop to take over their grounds, but a Hov and Shady LP would be special because it would be the first collaboration the Detroit champ’s ever done, barring his D-12 albums. On the other hand, Jay-Z has released collaborations with Best of Both Worlds with R.Kelly in 2002 and Collision Course with Linkin Park in 2004.

At press time, there were no reports of either MC seriously considering a project together but fans can dream, right? ”Jay-Z and Eminem together? What a phenomenal duo,” said Kaylyn Schenieder.”If Jay and Em did a record together it’d be off the hook,” said Dontae S. “It would be amazing.” Another gentleman essentially said the collaboration would be the generous act of a higher power. ”If God could only bless this earth with Jay-Z and Eminem doing an album together, all hell would break loose,” said Armaan Torado. “It would be impossible to find that CD, trust me.” ”They’re two of the greatest artists of our generation,” said Eddie Blackmon. “If they got together, it would sell millions and millions of records.” (more…)

In the sea of celebrities we saw during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week over the past few days, no one caught our eye quite like Omarion. The former B2K member showed off his bold style at various runway shows, including Gwen Stefani’s L.A.M.B. presentation where he knocked the socks off the couture crowd. O rarely left home without a bow tie and a pair of sunglasses (to shade him from the night sky, of course). Funny as it sounds looks like Omarion is finally getting the love he needed when he was pushing out an album, shame the project flopped! But maybe this might push Omarion to work on another piece of work that’s maybe not so much of a flop? – after all as far as I was concerned, I never herd of the album!

Omarion kicked off the week in combat boots, a black jumpsuit, and gold chain at the Y-3 spring 2011 show. The “Ice Box” singer tried to steal the spotlight from Us Weekly’s Most Stylish New Yorker Mary J. Blige with this red button-up shirt, bow tie, and briefcase. Khakis, a denim shirt, oxfords, and a Louis Vuitton belt—O, you fancy, huh? The night before the Gottex show, Omarion paired denim with denim at the grand opening of Lavo NYC. O no you didn’t. Drake, Trey Songz, and Pitbull have a lot to smile about. The music trio has been tapped by Kodak to appear in the company’s “So Kodak” integrated marketing campaign.

The campaign, which launches in early October, draws on the brand’s unique position in pop culture to engage young, socially-connected consumers. It coincides with the introduction of the newest Kodak EasyShare digital cameras featuring Kodak’s exclusive Share Button, which allows consumers to share their pictures and videos with their social network.

As part of the initiatives, the three stars will be featured in a multi-platform advertising and marketing campaign designed to bring to life what it means to be “So Kodak,” a phrase used to describe things that are hot and worth talking about. The campaign will consist of a series of television spots helmed by music video director Chris Robinson, along with print and online advertising, exclusive events, social media engagement, and consumer promotions.

Following his co-headlining gig with Eminem at Yankee Stadium, Jay-Z hit up his 40/40 Club with wife Beyoncé for the official “Home & Home” concert after-party. With sister Solange on the ones and twos, the shindig saw singersAdrienne Bailon and Miguel rubbing shoulders with L.A. Lakers champ Ron Artest, capping off the monumental evening. Tonight Jay and Em will do it again with a second sold-out show in NYC.

Jay-Z is also still developing his first ever greatest hit collection which is set to shelf for November 2010, however fresh speculation has surfaced that Jay-Z has started work already on a new album! The news came to us when a close twitter source informed TheMoMoShow.com that Jay-Z had been doing a lot of writing during his vacation with his wife Beyoncé – yet it is unclear whether the material was for himself or something he was to pass on to someone else.

Even though the idea of Jay-Z pushing out another album potentially next year is pretty much acceptable, and I know a classic never dies, but really so soon? – Now that would be a risk Jay-Z! (more…)
