Jennifer Hudson talks her life so far…

28-year-old R&B singer and Oscar-winning star Jennifer Hudson lost her mother Darnell Hudson Donerson, 57, brotherJason Hudson, 29 and 7-year-old nephewJulian King in a terrible shooting spree in October 2008.
Husdon claims that she suffered deep depression after this horrific event took place and said that she secluded herself from everyone after it all happened.
She said: “It was like I was outside of myself, for almost two weeks straight. I was inside one room with just family and friends coming in and out. In so many ways I channel my mother because she was such a great mom. I want him to get the same love and the same upbringing my mother gave us.”
William Balfour, Jennifer’s sister Julia’s estranged husband, has been charged with first degree murder and home invasion, but has pleaded not guilty to all the charges.
Jennifer Hudson was also asked about her recent weight loss, she claims she lost the extra pounds due to a mixture of circumstances she says “I cannot wait to put it on!”. She also cannot wait to get back into the studio.

“I’m not making nobody go buy the album…” says The Game

The Game has clarified the recent remarks that he made regarding his lack of motivation to go out and sell his album across America. The West Coast rapper claims that he felt there was no need to force-feed his fans the new record, “R.E.D.”
He told us ”I think that people took that the wrong way. I just said that I feel like that after three albums, and this one being my fourth one, that my fans – I don’t necessarily have to go out and just say, ‘Hey, go buy my album.’
“I don’t have to force people to buy the album. Sometimes with promotion, that’s what labels send you out to do; go sell yourself. I don’t think I have to do that anymore.
“I think everybody knows who I am and who I’m about. And I still come and make these runs, but I’m not making nobody go buy the album. I don’t give a f*ck if you buy it or not. You know, get it how you get it. If you don’t have the money, and you need to bootleg it, do that. Of course the labels going to think differently.”
As far as The Game goes, he’s one of very few rapper who stick to the same old standard rap-style, unlike his peers today who seem to be doing everything and anything to get on radio play. Saying that, I do not see high unit sales for this album.
The problem is, is that The Game has distanced himself too far away from “current” music, and that isn’t asking him to write a pop-rap album; but when was the last time you saw The Game? – Little information is available for this album. Chris Brown has a breakdown!

MoMo Exclusive! Chris Brown has been taking into a rehab! MoMo sources just informed us that singer Chris Brown turned himself into a local LA rehabilitation clinic, apparently he suffered the mental and emotional break down since last night’s BET awards performance!
Although reasons for why the breakdown has happened are still unclear, Chris Brown‘s management were in some ways relieved from the reactions to his Michael Jackson tribute performance at the BET Awards last night. Further more, Chris Brown who broke down whilst singing Pop-Ballad “Man In The Mirror” suddenly left the venue after his performance according to some sources. Maybe it’s just gone too far for Chris Brown to handle.
Chris Brown‘s previous year has been much of a roller-coaster, with the undivided attention of the media judging him whether it be good of bad. Some critics even has the nerve to say that Chris Brown‘s tribute to the King of Pop was all a huge publicity stunt to win over the hearts of those lost fans.
As far as MoMo knows, that Chris Brown is currently being treated by rehabilitation clinic in LA and Chris Brown‘s management are yet to give a statement about the matter – most likely they won’t; they would probably milk this story for as long as they can . Rihanna cancels yet another concert!

Things appear to be going from bad to worse for Rihanna. The model’s US ‘Last Girl On Earth Tour’ leg is reportedly in disarray due to poor ticket sales, with yet another show being cancelled just days before it was set to take place. – umhm I told you!!!
According to promoter Live Nation, the July 2nd stop in Seattle’s White River Amphitheatre has been scrapped due to (wait for it!) “production changes” (girl who we’re not stupid! we saw those ticket sales go down just like you did in “Rude Boy“). The cancellation is the latest in a string of erased dates, which include stops in Texas and Arizona. Slightly odd seeing the success of the tour in Europe, maybe people are really being influenced by the Chris Brown sympathy movement.
For some time now, there has been increasing talk of poor ticket sales of RiRi’s US tour (with hit and miss box office scores on the European leg). Hence, confirmation of such speculation comes as little surprise. I suppose that is what happens when you ignore all other signs of poor sales and then run down the budget at your record label! Shakira’s new album to hit stores in September

Following the massive success of her 2010 FIFA World Cup theme song, ‘Waka Waka (This Time For Africa)’, Shakira has been encouraged to return to the studio. The twisting temptress’ next album is currently set for a September release and will reflect a return to her Colombian roots. See what she had to say to below:
Shakira said the as-yet-unnamed bilingual album, due September, is a return to her roots. “I see it [the new album] as having two currents,” she says. “One is a lot about love and love experiences and emotions. And the other side of it is very joyful, and upbeat.”
Shakira also revealed that the music on her upcoming set would reflect influences from both the Dominican Republic and Colombia. “It’s a little more Latin on one side and a little more rock ‘n roll on the other side,” Shakira says. The singer plays the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury June 26 before returning to South Africa to perform “Waka Waka (This Time For Africa)” with Freshlyground at the World Cup’s closing ceremony July 11. It would be nice to see what Shakira does will this new inspired flavour thrown at her!
With “She Wolf” being a huge success however demonstrated her transgression to more of a Pop career, i’m sure Shakira will find it hard to move back to where she started after wanting to leave that genre of music for a very long time! John Legend and The Roots set “wake up” release

John Legend has announced a September 21 release date for his covers album Wake Up! The collaborative effort with The Roots contains soulful music from the ’60s and ’70s with an underlying theme of awareness, engagement, and consciousness.
Inspired by Barack Obama’s election, the disc represents change, hope, and activism, and includes familiar songs such as Marvin Gaye’s “Wholly Holy,” Donny Hathaway’s “Little Ghetto Boy,” Mike James Kirkland’s “Hang on in There,” and the first single “Wake Up Everybody,” featuring Melanie Fiona and Common.
Although I’m a little confused why John Legend develops his own new material instead of doing a cover’s album – do I smell cheap and tacky? John Legend who was last seen at the World Cup Kick off concert seemed excited about the new project, and John Legend did sing his biggest hit “Green light”, although appearing a little scratchy the backing vocals kicked in and the lip singing did the rest.

Heidi Montag announces summer LP

Oh god, here we go! Heidi Montag has announced that she is working on a new album.
The Hills star took toTwitter to reveal her plans to release a summer follow-up LP to her previous attempt at being a pop star,Superficial which was released earlier this year. – which may I remind you was the biggest epic fail of the year! Well done Heidi Montag you’ve won epic fail award of the year!
The plastic surgery mess tweeted: “Heading into the music studio recording my new single! Steve Morales my music producer moves into my house tomorrow to make my summer album!” The surgically enhanced reality TV star’s previous LP, which was co-produced by soon-to-be ex hubby Spencer Pratt was released through her own record label and cost the Hills couple over $1 million. The album only managed to ship 6345 units! Maybe that’s why reports that Speidi were ‘broke’ surfaced a few weeks ago…
I really don’t know what to make of this! In fact I feel really offended! Come on we all know that Heidi Montag cannot sing and who the hell is putting in all these ideas into her messed up little mind? Heidi Montag‘s album will not sell full stop. People no longer like her, yeah the illegal downloads maybe up but she wont last.

Chris Brown unveils new girlfriend!

Chris Brown’s rumored girlfriend Jasmine Sanders celebrated her 20th birthday Tuesday night (Jun 22) and the couple hung out with Breezy’s BFF Teyana Taylor, who tweeted these photos of them in the car on the ride over to Playhouse nightclub in Los Angeles.
Teyana also mentioned on Twitter that she and Chris baked a cake for Jasmine before heading out to the club. (Is this where we say “aww?” LOL!). Good for you Chris Brown! Good for you! I know I keep saying this and don’t get me wrong, what he did was wrong, and that is now in the past; I think we all need to get over it! – It’s time the he and us both moved on! With RiRi every five minutes flaunting her stuff with hubby Matt Kemp.
I’m not surprised that Chris Brown wanted this to be all a secret! After being rejected by Visa offices for leaving for his tour i’m sure now that he’s learnt that any public activity needs to remain private. With ever Rihanna ass licker media hype will just attack him like vultures! In addition, Chris Brown has been scheduled back into the studio to work on another album which sources told us “he’s having a break now, but we need to work on some new material which is more current.”.
So finally Chris Brown takes my advice and lays low and start work on a new project with a fresh mind! To be fair there is nothing else he can do given all the circumstances. Chris Brown is set to honour Michael Jackson at this year’s BET awards.

Keri Hilson says “No, It’s money in the bank”

Keri Hilson has talked about writing big hits for artists such as Britney Spears and Omarion and not keeping them for herself, but she doesn’t care as it made her a lot of money. She told us: “No, its money in the bank. That’s my means of living. There’s two sides of me, and neither takes preference. One is just a dream that I fought long and hard for. Songwriting was my Plan B. My whole life, I’ve fought to just do this. I didn’t know that I’d be able to take off as far, or as fast, as I did, but I knew I had a talent and that I should pursue it, because there’s money in it. When I wasn’t able to perform, and lost the record deal, I took the path of Plan B, and now I love them equally.
“I can’t have one without the other. Even at my biggest, I want to be writing for other artists. Even at my peak, the highest I can be as an artist, I always want to be keeping my creative juices flowing, keeping money in the bank, putting my intellectual property out there.” Even so, Keri Hilson hasn’t yet got a hit without the help of a duo or feature of the track! For example Ne-Yo/Kanye West and not forgetting Timbaland! I think what she was trying to say is, She don’t care if the next album flops, she making enough money through song writing, she don’t care! She got money in the bank! A little disappointed with Keri Hilson, I really thought tracks like “Energy” and “I like” could of done well, maybe it’s Keri Hilson‘s management not placing her right within her market? Don’t ask Big Boi about OutKast or else…

Big Boi is busy promoting his solo record these days, so don’t expect him to tell you about OutKast‘s highly-confidential new album or you may suffer the consequences.
The more visible OutKast member says he’s frequently asked about the long-awaited project from him and André 3000, but things could get ugly if he spills the beans. “When I do interviews and they ask where the OutKast album is, I have to tell them it’s top-secret information, and that me and André 3000 will have to put something to your temple if I say something about it,” he tells us.
The duo made a promise not to speak about their next collaborative effort until the release is near. “We made a pact that we will not disclose any information until it’s about to come out,” he reveals. One thing that he will freely speak about is his solo debutSir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty, due July 6. It’s a shame although André 3000 has done far more successful features with other acts it’s strange seeing Big Boi been given the media hype and all this promotion. Surely he’s now being branded as a début act but wouldn’t this lead to some slight competition between the two members of OutKast!?
At this moment Big Boi‘s single is going under heavy circulation and with Island Def Jam keeping album details to an minimum it’s hard to see how they will handle the whole project. Without a doubt ”Shutterbug“ is a dope track and is charting very high! Read the rest of this entry »
