Mariah Carey planning another compilation album!?

We have an exclusive for all those Mariah Carey fans! A source from Legacy Records told us that we could be seeing another compilation album from MiMi! (so soon?). The 2 CD album will feature all 18 #1 singles and other successful singles through out Mariah Carey‘s career. This comes as a shock; being only a couple of months since the release of “Love Songs” is there really a need for “#1′s 2nd Edition“. Source also told us that the LP will include some previous unreleased songs off the Sony label and Island Def Jam including “100%“ - which’s release was cancelled after the the remix album “Angels Advocate” was shelved.
I’m glad to see all of Mariah Carey‘s work being put together from all the labels she worked with; it’s about time! And as for the album art work; it’s pretty much a retake on the original “#1′s” and “The Ballads”. I think Mariah Carey is starting to embrace her age and to be fair this look really works for her. With no confirmation of track list apart from that both Sony and UMG are working together on this, has been released nor a release date. With Mariah Carey currently working on another studio album it’s hard to predict where the LP will drop? – if you ask me I think this is going to drop around Chirstmas time! So keep your eyes peeled! Sean Kingston & Justin Bieber “Eenie Meenie”

Without a doubt this is a typical Justin Bieber/Sean Kingston video – pretty much a lost story line and different camera shots in different locations; however must say still find it hard to believe that Sean Kingston is trying to use the success and appeal of Justin Bieber to sell a poorly produced track. It’s clear right from the beginning that Justin Bieber out sings Sean Kingston at so many points in the song – further more this song just highlights and shows how desperate Sean Kingston is to try and get backing into the music scene.
However (oddly – I kept telling myself I would never fall for this kid) Justin Bieber has yet again proved his good vocals (which may only last another year) and his limited diversification. I do see this single doing well however I wouldn’t hold my breath for this; in other news Justin Bieber is currently developing ideas for his up coming world tour and as for Sean Kingston he’s still trying to climb to the top (which he will never get to…get over yourself; no one gets excited for you these days!).
Rihanna cancels new album

Confirmation came through today that Rihanna has cancelled her untitled new album. Reasons around why the cancellation is still minimum with Rihanna still trying to push “Te Amo” and “RockStar 101” in the charts her attentions being drawn to her tour (which so far has been more successful in Europe rather than the states).
According to an Island Def Jam press release Rihanna was meant to be working on an “informal” project whilst on tour and had been booked to hit the studios when she’d arrive home in New York; however all of those studio sessions have been cancelled when sources told us that Rihanna will be cancelling the new album. This is a real shame; Rihanna could of used this LP to boost her status in the market; with “Rated R” selling sort of 1.6 million another hit album could of done much more for her career. Yet again this highlights disputes with the UMG label – with increasing pressures of Island Def Jam’s CEO L.A Reid who was held responsible for the “failing” projects of acts on the label. Disappointing as it may seem maybe Rihanna has come to the end of her creative cycle; she said that “Rated R” was reflection of her life currently (referring to the Chris Brown indecent) so maybe we could expect another “Music of the Sun” album?
Well it’ no secreat that Rihanna has some issues going on at home; which is shown through her music (sad times) and maybe a break is well deserved; after all it’s been roller-coaster of two years for her – who knows maybe Rihanna might just leave Island Def Jam.
The Louis Vs everyone is talking about!

With Kanye West currently pushing out his new single “Power”; he’s also been working on another project. A project that first shown in Beyonce‘s ”Ego Remix” video. And that of course is Kanye West‘s line of shoes for Louis Vuitton! With a mass hype over the shoe’s their demand is going higher and higher – but be fooled not you wont get yourself a pair unless you have a spare £620 – and that’s the pretty basic one!
Although these shoes are pretty hot (and if I could I would get a pair myself) Kanye West isn’t the only one’ who’s been endorsing the couture label as we all know “Loui-V”; acts such as Mariah Carey, Lil’ Kim, Ray J, Jennifer Lopez, Jadakiss and even LeToya Luckett. According to urban fashion blogs prices of these sneaks will not go down; however this isn’t the only plan for Louis Vuitton to go “west-side” – a range of luggage is also being designed by Kanye West however the project has been put on hold until Kanye West releases his album. Alicia Keys is pregnant and will marry Swizz Beatz

Yes! After months of speculation, it has today been confirmed by Alicia Keys spokesperson; that she is indeed expecting her first child with hitmaker Swizz Beats. What’s more, according to a rep for the couple, they are engaged to be married in a ‘private ceremony’ later this year (don’t worry; we’ll get some pics in for you!).
Further more it looks like Alicia Keys has got a lot more than a tour, album and other projects to be looking forward to! And of course we are all waiting for Mashonda‘s reaction to all this (girl!!!).
50 Cent loses more than 50 for a movie role!

Yes I do feel sick and slightly disturbed by this but 50 Cent has lost an astounding 54lbs to play the role of a cancer patient in the upcoming film ‘Things Fall Apart’. The rapper turned actor fell from 214lbs to 160lbs over a 9 week period for the movie. However, now that he is back on tour, he is working to regain the weight and retrieve his former size.
Firstly I would be very concerned about his health – never the less i’m sure there will be millions of people who will replace the Beyonce Diet with the 50 Cent Diet. And if so; this is the sort of dedication he should be giving to his almost non-existent music career! With 50 Cent not charting in the top 20 for a long while know, maybe he’s taken his career into a new direction. If so; then the film will be his make or break; although 50 Cent‘s acting skills are limited after his film “Get Rich Or Die Trying” – which was a silver screen hit with mixed reviews from the public, it will be nice to see what type of acting 50 Cent wishes to go into.
With no more further work scheduled with Interscope records for 50 Cent (who is trying to move label as soon as possible), maybe this is the right time to make such a move from one form of entertainment to another. Personally acting projects are good, but 50 Cent needs to think of some new material to bring him back on top – or maybe this is just all part of his plan? Who knows?
With regards to 50 Cent weight loss; I do not recommend fasting to lose weight; sources told us that this isn’t the first time 50 has done this, two years ago 50 lost some muscle mass for a small budget film titled “Microwave Park”. Other sources relieved that during the process 50 Cent has to have a doctor by his side because “he became very weak and we had to be prepared just incase…”; all together 50 Cent‘s medical expenses rocked up to become an estimated of $12,000 a day including the facility where he lost all this weight. - one fan commented on his website “50 needs a dam cheeseburger”.
I’m guessing this film has to be pretty good that he’s done this; and maybe with the added media attention may force him to jump back in the studio and work on some more hits? Buy hey! Good luck with this project 50 Cent or should I say 50 – 25 dived by 2 cent!?
Mariah Carey undergoes fertility treatment

A source told us that Mariah Carey is no stranger in the tabloids when it comes to her oscillating weight. Though earlier before, word had it she was only packing some newlywed pounds, it’s now become obvious that she is getting heavier almost with each public outing. This is explained by the fact that she’s resumed fertility treatment! Everyone knows that Mariah Carey and “Dreamlover” Nick Cannon have always wanted to start a family – however due to Mariah’s recent album “Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel” promotional tour had put any chance of them having a family on halt. Nick, who once said he’d get her pregnant tomorrow if he had his way; however increased pressures on both’s schedules meant through out 2009 Nick and Mariah didn’t see each other at all!
We learnt that “Mariah Carey has secretly resumed fertility treatments in a desperate bid to become a mother” they also told us that “She’s packed on a lot of weight, but it’s related to the fertility drugs she’s taking”. I hope Mariah Carey does get to have children; i’m sure she’ll be a great mother; and I’m sure her children will be great singers! Mariah Carey is currently also working on her next studio album which is as yet untitled and scheduled to be release in November 2010!
this is…Mumzy Stranger

East London boy Mumzy Stranger is the latest UK pop-urban sensation to surface the music scene. Already being named as the UK’s answer to Sean Paul; it’s clear the standards have been set high and with yet an official début album to release , it’s only going to increase the anticipation for Mumzy Stranger début LP.
Unlike many UK acts who try stick to their genre and their genre only; already with the first few lines of singles released and we are told there is a lot more and better to come. We can all tell Mumzy Stranger is no stranger to being diverse. In many ways Mumzy reminds me of a male version of Pixie Lott with a more urban edged twist on him. A prime example of how a young boy who set a up a studio in his room and after countless commitment has finally made it to where he wants to be; further more another prime example of how UK acts getting the recognition they deserve!
Mumzy Stranger was lucky given this opportunity by mentor and producer Rishi Rich who’s worked with the likes of Britney Spears, Madonna, Craig David and Jay Sean. And is also expected to collaborate and work with EastEnder’s star Preeya Kalidas (who is also working on her own solo project with UMG’s Mercury Records).
