With Beyonce stacking up the record sales and awards she is one of the most hardest working woman in the music industry; saying that Beyonce has already started to talk about plans for her as yet untitled or recorded forth solo studio album. What Sony Music has confirmed is that Beyonce will be releasing a “Greatest Hits” compilation album around December 2010.
When we asked Beyonce about the potential reformation of Destiny’s Child she told us “it’s not something I don’t want to happen, but we just all gotta wait for the right time…we’ve spoken about it and we don’t want the whole thing to be or feel forced…it will take time but it’s something that has to happen naturally”.
With Beyonce fresh off her sell out world tour (which she is expecting to extend in certain locations), she’s already got her eyes on her next project; and this time it’s away from the big screen onto her next album which told us is not a Sasha Fierce spin off ”I killed Sasha, she’s gone…done and dusted”. So could this mean Beyonce may be heading in a new direction musically, with the album under development right this minute and after her industry break (when ever she decides to take that!), she will start recording the album. I’m glad Beyonce is seeking for a new sound, she has been one of very few artists who’ve failed to progress in the music industry!
After all her platinum selling “I Am…Sasha Fierce” managed to poor out singles from 2008 to 2010! that’s two years that album has managed to keep holding on to the top 40 spot! It’s going to be hard for Beyonce to top herself when other acts across the board are experimenting with new sounds, Beyonce is missing out in a prime promotion time during the Summer of 2010! Let just hope she can work it out in 2011!
In many respects this video reminds of T.I.‘s “What You Know About That“, and although a little dark this video serves justice to the track which is a mid-tempo street rap track. With that said, I do not think this will be the single that would make people to want to the buy T.I.‘s forthcoming album “King Uncaged“; yeah, I do understand that this will not make a lot of radio airplay, but still a rap track will always be a rap track and if T.I wants to keep up with his northern rivals who seems to making more radio friendly tracks i very much doubt “I’m Back” will be making much circulation.
I know previously I’ve slatted commercial pushed rappers; but for the sake of T.I.‘s current position he got a lot to live up to (some people have simply forgot about him). With continuous disputes with Grand Hustle’s mother Warner Brother Music; the album “King Uncaged” has been given a official release date of August 17 2010, but do expect for this album’s date to be pushed back! I was excited for this T.I project – with no official track listing available who knows what the commercial first single of King Uncaged” will be!? Let’s just hope he lives up to his singles such as “What You Know About That“, “Whatever You Like” and “Live Your Life“. Keep it locked on MoMo for more information about T.I.‘s “King Uncaged“.
Ciara gets physical in her sexiest video yet for “Ride,” the first single from her fourth album Basic Instinct, coming this summer. Director Diane Martel (“Love Sex Magic”) takes a minimalistic approach, choosing to highlight the R&B siren’s performance and her bountiful assets. CiCi works her body like a gymnast, straddles a mechanical bull, and teases her fellow ATLien Ludacris with her goodies. This is one “Ride” you won’t want to end. – is what sources told us.
Ciara‘s new album will not be available in the UK till summer, we found out that in September 2009 Tricky Stewart revealed what had widely been expected, that the singer had been working on her anticipated fourth studio album. At the time the project was set to be produced solely by trio of Tricky Stewart, The-Dream and Ciara herself. Stewart described the studio sessions as “feeling good” with the music “having a good vibe”. This ended up as being Ciara‘s forth studio album, and Jive Records confirmed that “Ride” will be the lead single for the new album.
This Ciara is something she’s been wanting to do for a long time, with Ciara being very few in her kind (able to do diverse R&B singles and albums) she’s know for her high success around each album and then vanishing to work on a new one. Also Ciara enjoyed being placed in the Adidas summer commercial, so expect big things
Yes, Rihanna has taken the stage for her “Last Girl On Earth Tour”, whilst on the Europe leg of the tour – due to the ash cloud caused by Iceland Rihanna had to cancel two shows due to travel difficulties, since then and before so Rihanna fans have been running to their blogs saying how unimpressed they where with the set list, and the entire concert. Apparently Rihanna‘s only interaction with the audience is a pre-recorded audio clip that goes “hello (city name), are you having a good time!? i’m having a blast”. This is a bit disappointing for Rihanna, I would of expected a lot more from her!
In addition Rihanna‘s costumes seems to be a very Lady Gaga-like, all in all exposing her desire to be an artist who she isn’t. In fairness Rihanna has changed so much as an artist herself no wonder she is finding it hard to make the concert flow, saying that reports from a Rihanna fan page had complaints that Rihanna didn’t not sing at all during her performance of ”Rude Boy”, “Shut Up and Drive” and “We Ride” where she left that to backing track and backing vocals (ouch!). Oh Ri-Ri with another album readying for August and pushing two new singles (“Te Amo” and “Rockstat 101″), your life is just the exact metaphor of “whatever goes up, must come down”. And that is what happened when Rihanna injured her rib whilst preforming on stage (ouch!) what Rihanna fall here (more…)
Drake who has recently proposed to Nicki Minaj, and still readying his new album set for a late June release is looking to get back to where he started – acting. If you didn’t know, Drake was an actor on the Nickelodeon show Degrassi, way before he headed into the booth to become what he is now, a great lyricist.
Although it’s hard to believe that Drake began his hufe Hip-Hop career working for children’s television network Nickelodeon, but then Drake told us about details on his new album and other acting projects “The album comes out on June 15th. It was really just about me getting into the right creative head space and delivering a first album that people could all appreciate. So, I think I got it now. Yeah, June 15th, I’m excited.”
Drake added ”Television is sort of an exhausting, repetitive format to be in but I’m definitely, like after this album and I have another project I have in mind that I want to do but after that I’ll probably get back into some movies, yeah. I’m excited to do movies again. I like being on set.”
Drake being in a dual contract with Motown and Cash Money records I’d find to see where Drake will fit in his album promotional tour with the acting projects, I’m sure some arrangement will be made – but it will definitely interesting to see how Drake‘s fans react to this. It would also be interesting to see Drake on the silver screen, and with Drake writing his music, he could be close to directing his own film. His new album is expected to come out on the 15th june 2010, you can pre-order the album now from amazon.com just click on the Drake music page.
