The MoMo Awards – Voting Commences!
Mariah Teams Up With Ne-Yo
Mariah Carey announced that she will be releasing two “LPs” (albums for you and me), for the remix edition for her new album “Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel”. Alongside hitting her “Angels Cry” tour – she’s still trying to save that long lasting career with now only one, but two remix albums! (joy!).
Carey told us that not only will there be some hot remixes, but tracks that never made it on the original album, will also be on there too (like her Timbaland and Drake collaboration). Ne-Yo is set to be the first (label friend), to work on the expected 20 track albums (times two!). I really hope Def Jam makes it work, last time I saw Mariah and Clive Davis getting along was at last week’s Vevo awards.
Now we all wouldn’t want Mimi to be working under J Records…with Whitney Houston!? I think we need to start from scratch! Don’t worry, we’ll all forget, just like the album Glitter!

50 Cent “My Label Haven’t Got A Clue”
In a recent interview, 50 Cent slated his record label Interscope for the reason why he lost the chart battle against Kanye West in 2007. He told us “Def Jam did a better job positioning Kanye West at that point…The entire time I’ve been at Interscope Records, they’ve been relying on my creative energy and feuds with other rappers to move discs.’ (oh dear!).
It’s funny, at one point 50 was on top of his game, with his new (please please please don’t buy it!) alum “Before I Self Destruct (which won’t even hit copper record sales), Interscope decided to push out a greatest hits album – thus completing their contract terms. 50 also told us ‘I didn’t even go to a staff meeting and play this album for them because they’re more confused than any group of people I’ve interacted with, ever.’
With 50 Cent still being one of the biggest rappers of this decade, who knows whether he will leave or maybe the entire G Unit may be for sale in the new year. I very much doubt that 50 will bother signing to Def Jam or Island, those “commerical” rappers is just not what 50 is looking for right now.
Even though I would say, the new album is well…lets never speak of it again. “Before I Self Destruct” (Play.com)
The Billboards Have Spoken!

It’s the results we’ve all been waiting for! Find out who is “Artist of the Decade”, and which song has been titled “Song Of The Decade”, and many more important titles form the mothers of music the one and only – Billboard! (more…)
She’s Timeless
38 year old Mary J. Blige is embracing her age in her ninth studio album “Stronger With Each Tear”. If there is one artist on the R&B scene you will never get sick of, it’s this woman. She told us that “The album represents who and what I am right now. I’m a stronger human being after all the growing pains. It’s about life, love, change, strength—mostly really knowing who you are and being confident in that”.
It’s really nice to see Mary, sticking to her roots right from start to finish (well, that’s if this is her last album). I’ve herd some of the samples from this one, and album may just challenge those Christmas releases (release date 21 December!).
Her new single “I Am”, (clearly built on a sample of Paula DeAnda’s “Walk Away”), is the second single to be released from the album, as “The One” being the first, and due to album push backs Mary for forced to release another single. It’s not bad (very winter!), to watch the video to “I Am” and track list of Mary’s new album (more…)

Graffiti (5 stars)
To my surprise, i really like this album (on the verge of loving this album). For the last past months I’ve been asking myself where has real good Pop/R&B music gone…
Okay, so we all know about the “Chrihanna” drama, but I really hope this album gets the reception it truly deserves. It’s clear the woman beater has been working hard on this album alongside fitting in all those hours of community services. The album flows nicely like any other Chris Brown album. With great ballads such as “Crawl”, “Sing Like Me” and “So Cold” to those Hip-Hop joints with the likes of Trey Songz, Piles, Tank, The Game, Lil Wayne, Sean Paul and Lupe Fiasco! Tracks like “What I Do”, and “Girlfriend” these might hang around along time! Plus the killer Dance beats such as “I.Y.A.”
One thing that’s missing is T-Pain (but hey that’s his loss!). So congratulations to woman beater Chris Breezy, you’ve got MoMo’s first ever 5 star review!

“H.A.T.E.U”
“H.A.T.E.U.” (short for “Having a Typical Emotional Upset”) is Mimi’s third single of her new album (slowly yet surly flopping album) “Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel”. The music video was shot on November 4th and 6th 2009, and was directed by Brett Ratner who previously directed music videos for “Obsessed”, “Touch My Body”, and “We Belong Together”. The video was shot on Malibu Beach, in California. The video uses the radio edit of the song, which is only 3:12.
In a nut shell, it’s another Mariah Carey, hair being blown back video. Everyone can sing on a beach!? but not like Mariah – who is prancing around in an unflattering swimsuit which (suprisingly) looks good in the video. So it looks like the 40 year old has still got it!? – well sources tell us that Def Jam’s biggest selling artist (the one that rakes in most of their money), will soon be leaving and joining to Sony’s daughter record label J Records home of “If he makes you feel like a million dollar bill” Whitney and “Spotlight” Jennifer Hudson (hm all those Divas under one roof!?).
Overall this was one of the songs that i highly rated when the album was released. Co-writen by the-Dream and set in a beautiful melody, and of course how can we forget Mariah hitting her famous notes. To watch the full video here (more…)
